Condolences to the family and to all of you at the Essendon Football Club, officials, former teammates, friends, fans, etc.

Less than a week ago we were enjoying our victory over your team. This, however, demonstrates just how minor one game of football is in the grand scheme of life.

News coming through that former Essendon premiership wingman Merv Neagle was killed in a car accident today on his way back from Griffith to Walla.

Condolences to his wife, Jay, Jydon, Matthew and extended family.

Terrible news. Heart goes out to the Neagle family. Poor Jay doesn't seem to have had a great run in recent times with injuries ruining his career and now this. Sounds like they will have a decent community around them.
