Just got home from the match and am not really angry, not even upset for some reason. More then anything I'm disappointed in the team, and myself for thining we've improved.

Today was a disgrace. Apart from Stevens, we did not look interested in going for the ball or the man. Collingwood looked so hungry and we just looked so casual.

The Pies skills were extremely ordinary, and they kept chipping towards the boundary, whilst we went direct ... but they wanted it more, simple as that.

Our forwards were absolutely woeful. Waite's disposal was not up to AFL standard ... no excuses will do here and I don't care what good things he did. Fevola was usless ... I know he can dominate but when he's not kicking goals, he is an absolute liability for our side as he takes up a position where someone else could be standing willing to contest.

Our backmen are nothing but ordinary journey men. Obviously Thornton and Livingston are out, but even with them in the side, we are extremely weak back there.
 
Today was a joke we played like girls.I'm glad the pies flogged us and they did flog us,we showed nothing today.The girls in our team should hang the heads.
 
Fevola has played 3 games this season, and three pathetic games.

At the first contest today he cracked them, and put his head down.

I thought Waite was okay, but yes he is a shocking disposal of the ball.

Stevens and French were the only two players to battle it out.

I'd nearly say today's loss has buggered our season - we play interstate our next two games. So potentially, we will more than likely be behind the 8 ball.
 
it's a very bad loss ..but it's not the end of the world . we all knew the pies would come out firing ..after all they had their backs to the wall .
the standard of football was very very ordinary and we had far too many passengers ..now it's up to Pagan to show these players that if they want to play for this club then they need to earn the right ...expect big changes next week

got the same feeling as I had after the Rnd1 loss to Nth.

I think they must have run out of legs .. heat may have knocked them around.

But a bad loss.. not good enough considering that the pies looked gone during the 1st half of the 3rd qtr
 
Here's some news to put a smile on our faces.

Nth Bullants (our reserves) played Nth Ballarat, a side that is not associated with an AFL team...

We managed to kick 4 goals for the whole game, a whole 4 goals. Considering we bet last years VFL premiers last week this was disappointing.

Not sure who got in our best.

On a seperate manner, did anyone notice today that every time Trent Sporn touched it, he turned it over?

Some of our supporters were talking up our chances but realistically the most disappointing thing for me today was we missed winning a game that was winable. By that I mean that our first 3 games this season we were a winning chance unlike the next 2 games where we play Port and Freo away, hard assignments at the best of times.

It is not unrealistic to think that after 5 games we could be 1-4 with our outside chance of making 8 almost gone.

I think we straightened up in the 2nd half considerably.
In the 2nd half we passed it quick and accurate which meant the loose man/men for Carlton didn't have enough time to go back and clog the prime leading spots and hence force us to lead and kick wide.

You Collingwood supporters are incredible. You are always whinging about how you cop crap on these boards and how everyone always has a go at Collingwood. Then you come up with crap like this. Coming in and trolling on another team's board! After just one win for the season!
One win doesn't make you great. In fact take a good look at the game both teams were very ordinary, both teams made a lot of mistake and both teams have a lot of improving to do if they seriously want to be a threat this season.
The reality is Collingwood had a lot more to prove to critics, they wanted it more than Carlton. That's why you won.

This match showed alot about the personalities of the carlton players. Did anyone see ANY carlton player get a cramp in the final quarter. The answer is no. You now y? Because of those idiots like fev, norman, whitnall, sporn, wiggins. These players were shocking. Do you know y they didnt get cramps cause they only think about themselves. FEv needs to go!

Red did ok he ran all day as for sporn,wiggins they are both great club men.Fev's going no where just yet.

Yep, I'm disappointed too. It seems each game we're expected to win, we don't. We run forward of the ball well, but don't get back and therefore our second string defenders are under the pump even more.

I think I'll pick against us next week, no matter who we play.

if he goes what a great forward line we will have next year. our CHF whitnall can't take a contested mark and is slow, deluca is good but no fevola, and fisher and waite are not going to kick 60+ goals a season at full-forward.

True. But we aint gonna give fev for free. Fremantle want fev for j-lo and an early draft pick. Alot of other teams want him. But, he needs to improve or else its gonna b a tough year for him.

True sporn and wiggins play crap but they are not selfish player's,thats my point as for Red at least he put in and ran all day.I think Fev put in to but is out of sorts.
