I do not know if I am one of the posters you refer to bud but I do not have a problem with Maxy at all but I do not like smugness especially after what we saw in the 2nd half yesterday and even if we had played better in the 2nd half than we did I still prefer a team,s play does it,s talking not clever remarks.
If this offends you then I am sorry but a little humility goes a long way.

That's where we disagree. Your opinion is quite insulting, considering Maxwell's career, the type of player he is and the values he displays everytime he pulls on the black and white. There was context to Maxwell's jibe that you seem to have missed. I find it insulting when a man's attitude is judged on one light-hearted comment when there are so many more tangible things that allow us to judge his approach to the game.

Anyway, Swanny36, my comment wasn't directed at you specifically but at several other posters that have seen this as an opportunity to bag our captain once again.

While you point out it wasn't directed at Swanny, I feel like it was a valid thread to start, worth a bit of a chat to some (considering how poorly we've been finishing games lately) and not necessarily insulting to any of the players. It's just a way for supporters to question, from an outsiders perspective, whether it is an attitude problem that is causing the issues or something else. And to be honest I think Bucks would be searching for the answers to those questions himself.

Personally I love how Maxy carries himself and doubt he'd be the sort of person to act cocky, however just because he is captain doesn't mean he's beyond questioning either.

I'm sure Swanny36 can handle a bit of criticism. If he can't, he shouldn't be dishing it out. Swanny36 has every right to express his opinion, just as I have every right to share what I think about his opinion.

Why am I full of American bravado because I used the term "Bud", mate I often onlyuse 2 or 3 letter words when I am talking to a simpleton anything more than 2 or 3 letters and they seem to have all sorts of problems understanding things.

If that was how Maxwell reacted to being interviewed by king then maybe the time has come for Luke Ball to be made captain because I am certain ball would not have answered in such a manner in fact I do not think Maxwell himself would have.
I think it does show how smug some of our players are becoming and if Maxwell thinks it is okay to be a smartarse then ball needs to become captain ASAP because it does show a sense of self satisfaction and even more importantly complacency.

I've had the privilege of experiencing two premiership wins in my lifetime. They are all hereos, but premiership captains are held in special reverence. So when they are knocked and their characters assassinated for something that seems incredibly trivial, you are hitting a pretty raw nerve. You've got the right to make whatever ridiculous comment you want, just as I have the right to express my guttural response to your opinion. When you want to knock a Collingwood captain, especially one that has delivered a premiership, you should expect it to escalate pretty quickly.

I also have had the good fortune to see 2 flags but more importantly I have had the misfortune to see a lot more failures than that and some of them were caused by a sense of the job being done and self satisfaction.I also do not like to be critical of a premiership captain but if for 1 reason or another they are showing the wrong attitude we are entitled to be critical of them.God knows I am critical of T Shaw but I still love him as I do Nick but if they are wrong we are allowed to say so.

I'm getting pissed off with this lack of any ruthlessness (is that a real word?).

We had a real genuine chance to build some percentage, and completely slacked off. It was as plain as day that the run and pressure came to a halt. The Bulldogs didn't actually play any better, we just played a lot worse. Ridiculous. The sooner Bucks turns over the list, the better.
