Not good, but can understand , he's been there from the start.

It's his (non)subtle way of reminding everyone that he was once a captain. It's 101 Ian Chappell stuff.Lyon has some weird fascination with "leadership" in sport and finds it the most important and engaging topic ever.
Unfortunately he feels the need to make a segment about it every ******* week for a whole year, or just insert it into the conversation, "You know im big on leadership in footy....."
It's easily the most boring topic he covers and he bring it up at least once a day.
The sen overnights host Ed Cowlishaw , was saying that the station will be covering more live sport during the 7pm - 12 am time slot.
looks like they are going to be covering more a league and nbl matches that don't involve a Melbourne based team , because it is going to be a national focus as Hutchy controls a sports show in each of the capitals and in turn will be heard in regional areas.
Like last Sunday evening that didn't broadcast the City a league match at 5pm , but broadcast the Adelaide v Sydney match at 7 going to 10pm , how many in Melb really listened to that ?
When 3aw Sports today started in 1994 taken on by a number of their football relay stations around Victoria , was an extension of their Sports Saturday & Sports Sunday shows that stared in summer 1993-1994 broadcast 12pm-6pm each weekend between footy seasons until about 2003/4 weren't it went Sat 12-2pm & Sun 4-6pm
In 2006 Hutchy was brought into 3aw hosting the footy , and would sometimes be a sports today fill in presenter
One Saturday night footy match that 3aw did mid 2007 was called by Hutchy & Dwayne , the talkback callers they received after the match slammed Hutchy & Dwayne for their calling of the match , IMO it wasn't that bad.
However that was Hutchys last match call for 3aw as he was sacked or left the station in the following week , Dwayne who had called Sat night 3aw footy was taken off their call team.
Hutchy started his crocmedia co around then , offered to buy the overnight slot from Sen in 2008 , as they couldn't make money from it as they just replayed the previous days interviews all night.
Hutchy must have timed it right , as the stations that were taking 3aw sports today couldn't afford to broadcast because of cost , that when Hutchy started his Sportsday programs that was broadcast on those stations in place of Gerard & Dwayne
Late 2015 after the AFL GF 3aw Sports today went to 1 hour show 6-7 , with sydneys money show playing 7-8
Late 2016 Hutchy went with got the afl footy rights and in turn choose to go with Gerard & Dwayne sports today and the so sports day program was discontinued in vic replaced by the 3aw , still only the 6-7 , the 7-8 available through their Facebook

Good time line C4, so I've highlighted the bit I'm not sure about, not saying you are wrong just that I'm not too sure about the detail.
Healy/Russell go back to Hookesy at 3AW (?) as a constant unlike the ownership of 3AW, or the ownership of SEN (Pacific Star Network).
Have the decisions around Healy/Russell time slot been 100% financial? Lower cost for 3AW ownership contracted to Crocmedia, whilst retaining Healy & Russell?
My view of what is going down is coloured by the fact Healy does his own contracts, no manager type manipulating behind the scenes.
....
Russell was the fill in with Hooksey early Dec 03 and until when Gerard won the Sydney to Hobart in 2003 , when Gerard came back in early 2004 Hooksey went his leave remember he was Victoria state cricket coach back then , until his death on the 19th Jan when they were due to broadcast from day of the Aus open.
Russell then became the regular co host with Gerard early Feb from memory.
I am wondering why there is such a late announcement about Fine's departure - It seems that Hutchy is still undecided about his team of presenters.
I reckon RoCo will be on the call team and a regular elsewhere on SEN so it'd be weird for him to cop the evening shiftI don’t think it’s fair to say Rohan only knows about Footy, I follow him on Twitter and he tweets regularly about Cricket and Soccer as well and you can tell that there is enthusiasm there when he speaks about those sports. When he was at The Age he covered Cricket for them as well.
I was surprised to see Finey go and more surprised to see Jack replace him instead of Rohan. Jack did a good job at Eon Sport with Bianca Chatfield and is certainly a capable presenter, but I thought Rohan did a good enough job as a fill in and has a reasonably high profile to attract listeners.
I know Finey’s 2.1 in the last ratings was a shocker, but it seemed like an anomaly to me and that he had enough runs on the board ratings wise to continue. I’m just hypothesising, but maybe Hutchy is taking a stance that certain behaviour that Fine exhibited towards the audience is not going to be tolerated under his watch? Following Rohan on Twitter, he seems to have a short fuse as well so that may have counted against him, whereas Jack Heverin is always pleasant to the listener even when they have a go at him. On the other hand maybe Rohan just wasn’t interested in the gig.
No such thing as a bad tigerYep, I don’t like tatts and thought that one was worse than usual.
No such thing as a bad tiger
Yeah not the best tiger but still a tiger, wonder if ash was looking at it . ?Was it a tiger? I couldn't tell, just looked like a mess to me.
I think this is a good point being overlooked or ignored by many.Crocmedia never bought in to keep things the same when ratings were so woeful, so this is no shock and having no contract would have made it an even easier decision.
Nail. It's his (non)subtle way of reminding everyone that he was once a captain. It's 101 Ian Chappell stuff.
Except the one that bites you.No such thing as a bad tiger
Very fair point. Please, please, please make Craig Harper next.
That man is unlistenable.
