What’s with the obsession of SEN presenters calling the city they broadcast from “Melbourne Town”???? Pretty confident the last 1000 times I have heard that phrase is that radio station, to the point of it being almost exclusive.

Basil z and mario from doncaster.I’m a Lyon & Watson fan but I have a hypothetical - if in 2019 Hutchy got rid of them and had to replace with 2 new hosts but kept the rest of the full time SEN staff in their current spots who would people want?
Eg: you can’t choose KB or Turf as they already a show.
You can choose people like Dal Santo, McGuane as they are casuals and you can choose anyone from other stations etc.
Posted a while ago to expect more of Cornes - Hutchison is definitely grooming him for bigger things - Will add that Cornes needs to temper his outlandish statements - You can still have a strong and informed opinion but couch it in a more amenable way.
It surprises me how people like Hutchy, who like to make out that they're switched on and business-savvy, take ages to update their websites.
When did Finey get the arse? The big photos of him and Robbo are still on the podcasts page

I'm no I.T. guy, so if there are logistical issues that would make quick changes tricky, someone educate me.

Good spot. With those guys and Gary Lyon still around, which expert commentary slot would Spud fit into given his Sunday work on Fox? If they are reducing from 60 part timers to 20, he may be gone.
Has anyone heard if Mike Sheehan will still be on?
Does Watson remind you of someone who still lives in the 1950's?Expert commentary is not what comes to mind when Frawley's name is mentioned .
A genuine buffoon of the highest order who cannot string a coherent sentence together and is still firmly entrenched in the embarrassing blokey/old boys network mindset .
He and the equally lazy Watson (still armed with his tired old school boy toilet humor) surely wouldn't be missed ...
Has anyone been sacked today?
Yes, I was wondering about Spud. I've be surprised if he fits into Hutcho's model of a "fresh, cool, slick and pro" operationExpert commentary is not what comes to mind when Frawley's name is mentioned .

day 4 of KB and Dr Turf - can see turfy getting himself in a shitton of trouble. has some pretty outlandish things to say
his rant on womens tennis yesterday was pretty bad
Richo and KB together would be a great combo. Used to love his Value segment on a friday morning.Turfy is ok, but maybe to be on only 2 or 3 times a week and get Richo on Mondays when there's no races.
I'd probably not tune in. They have the right early morning relaxed style I enjoy. Do not take things too seriously. Mick McGuane is way too serious and talks way too fast to be easy listening at 6 am in morning. 9 am to 10 am is more acceptable to take him in small doses.I’m a Lyon & Watson fan but I have a hypothetical - if in 2019 Hutchy got rid of them and had to replace with 2 new hosts but kept the rest of the full time SEN staff in their current spots who would people want?

I get your point. My first impressions from this are that they're just a couple of mates talking to each other while they happen to be on air.I like Dr turf but think the pairing with KB seriously lacks energy, probably not surprising given a combined age of 135+. While Allen and ox had their flaws they had a certain undefinable energy that cannot be easily replaced.

Has zero knowledge of the modern world and lacks all understanding of contemporary issues.
Still, I guess its understandable, he grew up in the bush until the age of 15, then spent the next 20 years in the sheltered workshop of the VFL/AFL.
He would never have had the opportunity to experience real world events or issues.
I'm amazed that no one has questioned him on his view that everyone has a "Christian" name, heard him ask a Korean person what their Christian name was earlier in the week.....ignorance is strong in this one
