There has been only 1 Shield match at the MCG this season so White can’t have seen too much and only 1 more to come in February. 10 days of 1st class cricket only in a season (if the test match had gone 5 days it still only would have a possible maximum of 13 days). It’s not good enough. I presume the same curator looks after the St Kilda wicket. Is that a drop in as well?

No it's not a drop in and a private company do it.

Different models of presentation but I notice how the ABC has two callers and two special comments per BBL game while SEN only has one caller and one special comments.

Of course SEN has adds and I think the ABC are always at the ground.
 
Fox Cricket seem to have the right balance with one caller and two special comments. The key is making sure the special comments guys work well together (e.g. Hussey & Haddin work well on the BBL together).

There has to be a real good rapport between the two in a one and one set-up, and they need to ensure they don't go off tangent or it becomes hard to listen to.

I can't believe how rude Gerard was to Adam White. It's fine to disagree with White about the pitch but at least hear him out before offering another counterpoint. Don't dismissively shut him down by haughtily saying ''no you haven't".

Yes, Gerard, you probably did swallow a dictionary when you were the nerd at school who spent lunchtime in the library. That doesn't mean you really are the smartest person in the room, despite your desire to portray yourself as just that.

It's bigger than that , they have the Albert ground as well , plus numerous other events, concerts and the change over in seasons is massive , all in a short space of time . Look how good the ground is after the say AC/DC concerts , it's a massive job

Each day is a bit different, some days they struggle for content with a lot of horse racing.

Other days where they have breakfast, into the New Ball, into a whole day of Cricket it's a good day.

For January they have Tennis which helps a bit with content. Not so much the live coverage but it's gives them something to talk about
