There has been only 1 Shield match at the MCG this season so White can’t have seen too much and only 1 more to come in February. 10 days of 1st class cricket only in a season (if the test match had gone 5 days it still only would have a possible maximum of 13 days). It’s not good enough. I presume the same curator looks after the St Kilda wicket. Is that a drop in as well? That was embarrassing today from nerdlinger. Adam said he’d seen that pitch before, Gerard dismissed him out of hand.
Sam comes on next and says he’s got private information that pitch has been produced twice with the same amount of grass.
Just because you read books with all the stats doesn’t give you any knowledge on a pitch
No it's not a drop in and a private company do it.There has been only 1 Shield match at the MCG this season so White can’t have seen too much and only 1 more to come in February. 10 days of 1st class cricket only in a season (if the test match had gone 5 days it still only would have a possible maximum of 13 days). MCG pitch versus India last year was cut to 6mm according to every report I've read. For once Sam is right and last years was cut at 10
Poindexter now thinks he's the voice for all Aussie sport plus the grid ironMCG pitch versus India last year was cut to 6mm according to every report I've read.
Whateley and Whitey can both be right in the overall gist of their arguments. It's not a case of one being completely right or wrong. Whateley does like a bit of one-upmanship.
Thanks, so Page only prepares 2 shield and 1 test matches strip and the BBL pitches which I don’t care about for the entire cricket season. What a gig.No it's not a drop in and a private company do it.
Whaeatley ? Smug ?I don’t even care about the pitch it was more Wheatley’s smug put down.
More to the point his view was the only correct one…bewilderingWhite’s seen more than Gerard over the years he does the commentary on most of the Vic games.

Are you in NZ? East Antarctica? Christmas Island?GOOD MORNING
It's bigger than that , they have the Albert ground as well , plus numerous other events, concerts and the change over in seasons is massive , all in a short space of time . Look how good the ground is after the say AC/DC concerts , it's a massive jobThanks, so Page only prepares 2 shield and 1 test matches strip and the BBL pitches which I don’t care about for the entire cricket season. Courageous from a bloke that would get flogged by Mr Burns. I think we need Robbo back to calm him down a bitI can't believe how rude Gerard was to Adam White. It's fine to disagree with White about the pitch but at least hear him out before offering another counterpoint. Don't dismissively shut him down by haughtily saying ''no you haven't".
Yes, Gerard, you probably did swallow a dictionary when you were that nerd at school who spent lunchtime in the library. That doesn't mean you really are the smartest person in the room, despite your desire to portray yourself as just that.

I think you’ve summed it up perfectly, at the moment it’s all over the placeEach day is a bit different, some days they struggle for content with a lot of horse racing.
Other days where they have breakfast, into the New Ball, into a whole day of Cricket it's a good day.
For January they have Tennis which helps a bit with content. Not so much the live coverage but it's gives them something to talk about
