12yo review vs Richmond

Hi all. My 12yo has written a review of last weeks game vs richmond. Please be kind with any coments as he is in grade 6 and hates to write. This is a forum for him to express his feelings other than school work. It is word for word. Thanks in advance

DOGS

The areas that the Bulldogs need to improve on are getting the ball down in the forward line a lot quicker, hitting a target and not kicking the ball to the other team. Man up on our players in all areas of the ground but mostly in the back line.

The 5 most WOW moments for me were:

1. Lauchie Hunter kicking that spectacular goal at the end of the second term.

2. Gia coming on and kicking the goal to put us in front and win by 2 points.

3. Jackson McRae getting up to 30 disposals.

4. Our captain trying his balls off. (His words!)

5. Brendan Macartney doing an excelent coaching job and credit to all the boys and coaching staff.

Lauchie Hunter, Gia, McRae. Well everyone but they are my favs!

Good write up by the young fella, he knows what to look for.
I hope he's encouraged by the positive feedback. I hated to write, I hated English class all through school despite excelling in it, and one day someone I knew noticed all my Doggie-related ramblings on Facebook and had me write articles about cricket and footy for his site, which was an unbelievable boost to a 16 year old's self-esteem. Now I'm doing a Journalism/Business double degree at Monash.
He's good at it, and it sounds like he loves his footy, corby. You never know what that could lead to down the road.

Look forward to next week's write up. Hope it's analysing another win!

But if you want to you can submit this to http://www.footyalmanac.com.au/junior-alamanac/ it is a sport writing web publication for kids. John Harms is one of the creators of the site and it is pretty good. I'm not sure it will get on there but it would be terrific for your son if it was published there.
