I wonder if Josh struggled with some mental health challenges this year. Reflecting on the games he played at VFL level he didn’t seem really connected and looked to be on the periphery. Contributing to that he had injuries that held him back, and learning to play a systems based game can take away the innocence and enjoyment of playing footy, for some young men.

Nothing super concerning but just around preparation and some of the sacrifices that need to be made to be a professional athlete
