Aquinas seem to be the team to beat come finals although i also rate old Xavs very highly despite a recent form slump. They are a physical side which will definately help them in finals action.
As for BT i am yet to be convinced that they will beat Xavs. Having only one win away from home won't help in finals. Their draw to therry after being up by 8-9 goals at three quarter time may indicate that they haven't played 4 quarters of footy yet. Old Xavs are favourites going into the semi against BT, Lee will be hard to stop along with their on-ball brigade! Prove me wrong boys from BT, but i think the Xavs have might have you covered.
Agree BT have not played 4 quarters this year played some very inpressive halves but not a full game. However Xavier a physical side is like saying Geelong has great fitness. Xavier talk tough but the do no put thier head over the ball. They see shadows and hear footsteps. Xaviers strength is their skills and run to receive.
Fitzroy are not a one man team but they do need that link to play at their best. Aquinas desevre fav. tag only as fitzroy worry that Aquinas have their number.
Should be exciting when finals do come around, but still another week ahead. Are players going to have their bodies break down on the home straight? Will players getted sucked into the fireworks that may come from the teams in their last game for the year and cop weeks for flying the flag? Will rested players lose their form? All will be answered after Saturday.
