I went to the VFL grand final this weekend and took a Saints friend downstairs to ambush him with the trophy cabinet. As it happened the 1981 cup was missing - I seem to remember it was stolen sometime during the last few years. "See - we've misplaced as many cups as you've won", I said.
But I was wondering if there was any progress or initiative to get the cup back, or replace it. Can we lobby or pay the AFL to make a replica? Many of the cups are non-original anyway, as the presentation of a cup is a relatively recent thing in VFL/AFL history.
