Just mentioned on 3aw that a documentary on the 1990 premiership is currently being made.

Craig Kelly is going to be the host presenter of it and was the reason that he was out on the surface of the MCG after the Anzac day win.

Should be good to see when it is released.

I hope they make one for the 2010 Premiership also.

AWESOME! I was waaay too young to even remember it (3 and a half).

Really hope they do a 2010 one as well! :D

LOL - the only time youre happy to be old - when i can say ive seen 2 collingwood flags :thumbsu:

but the worst thing about it - despite being there, i was sitting in the worst seat in the house, and have absolute zero recollection of the day - nothing to do with alcohol, but i think more to do with the mental exhaustion i experienced that day. what i had to do to get a ticket ;)

i would absolutely love to hear more about the thoughts of the players, and what they are doing these days. player for player the 2010 team is a class above, but for sheer desire & hardness at the ball, 1990 wins it.

would buy the dvd.

I was 20 and living in Collingwood :thumbsu:

A younger, somewhat better looking..............ummmmm....adequate looking.......ummmm average looking me partied at Vic Park and Johnson St back then. Met a nice young lady and she seemed very, very happy.

Remember Daics' first goal from the boundary and the 2nd quarter 5 goal burst.:D

I was only five. I think I was the only person in collingwood who wasn't drunk (or on the way there).

Awesome news, can't wait to watch it. I was only 4 when we won in 1990, but I have seen the game multiple times as I used to watch it over and over again during the late 90's and early 00's, think I wore out a VHS and had to get my parents to buy a new one :D.

Better late then never.:thumbsu:

I was there, sitting in the old Olympic Stand, can't remember much of the day anymore, so a doco would be nice.:D

They have to include some of the post match footage, there was a crush at Jolimont station trying to get back to Vic Park, so eventually most of the crowd just walked up the middle of Hoddle Street, it was an awesome sight all the way to, and at Vic Park that night.

I remember bits and pieces as i was only 7yrs old but i remember going to Darren Millanes funeral in Dandenong more than anything......me my brothers outside dandy townhall, to this day i have never remembered anything being that sad with so much emotion. I really hope he gets a special mention in this doco.

I remember it like it was yesterday, mostly because I couldn't go. I was 15 and my brother and I watched it on TV. Last game I went to in 1990 was the draw at Waverly against West Coast. We went to every game in Melbourne that year except the replay against the Weagles and the Grand Final. I was more dissapointed that my folks wouldn't let me go to Vic Park for the celebration after the game than the actual game itself.

I was 25, sitting in the southern stand around bay 13, smoking bongs with a few mates, yelling out MILLANE, MILLANE, then the 2 day party at Vic Park, WOW. Etched in my memory for ever.
BTW Dont smoke no more, every body has to grow up one day, DAMN!
Go Pies

Ok I'll keep the trend going, I was 26 and was due to go on a hot date that night with an Essendon supporter... Never thought about the date once when the game was on... Was the best day of my life if you get the drift!!! Stuffed Essendon twice that day !!

Hence my title.

I was 17 and lucky enough to get a front row seat behind the Ponsford goals. Me and my friends took in school bags full of cut paper. My main memory is 'snowing' the Barwick goal knowing we'd finally won.

When I saw that again on tv recently, I was surprised how great that looked. Shame we don't see it much anymore.

I did organise about 40 phones book worth for the GF last year but unfortunately didn't get to throw it.

I remember more of the after party in the streets of Collingwood. Total mayhem! traffic was at a crawl for hours and Collingwood fans were climbing on the roofs of cars and jumping up and down (with shocked families still inside!) Also remember the crowd trying to tip a police riot van over rocking it back and forth - went pretty close to tipping too.

I was 14, in a Sydney high school, supporter for 4 years, and had absolutely no idea how important that GF win was at the time.

Looking forward to it. :thumbsu:
