Well spotted.

You win this weeks intrntional mistake search.

I'm going to keep a ladder and the person who finds the most at the end of the season will win a small prize.

There will be at least one mistake each week.

Move over Scott Selwood, Lecca's the focus of my attention now. Assuming less important things like real-life and uni don't interrupt me, I'll try and update this thread after every game with a neutral report, definitely not embellishing how he played.

So, the Frenchman is currently sitting on 299 career goals. He'll probably get to 300 this week, meaning he'll be the second player in two weeks to get to that milestone. Another 300 after that would be nice :thumbsu:

Lecca's having a damn fine season so far. He's kicked 23.11 as well as averaging 18.6 disposals a game and has been playing more throughout the middle of the ground, as everyone would have already noticed. His vision and ability to choose the first option and then deliver (more often than not) lace out has been great to watch and really beneficial for our potent forward line. Hopefully his form continues!

Superstar.

Any other player in the comp having 20+ disposals and 3+ goals for a match everyone in Vic would be creaming over them.

Damn underrated.

Damn underrated.

Really is playing that half-forward/mid role brilliantly. Shame the half-forward AA positions are almost always given to more dominant midfielders.

Good interview with LeCras on the upcoming season.

WEST Coast's players find themselves in a strange situation as the 2016 NAB Challenge nears.

Determined to correct the errors made in last year's Grand Final loss to Hawthorn, they also know that if they focus too heavily on redemption they'll miss their chance to wipe that game from the memory banks.

Instead, star forward Mark LeCras insists his teammates have to find the discipline to concentrate on day-to-day training.

The Eagles surprised the football world in 2015, battling substantial injuries to key players, to win through to the season decider.

Smart tactics, the form of the midfield group and the inspired brilliance of Josh Kennedy to boot 80 goals and claim the Coleman Medal while carrying an injured elbow, highlighted a successful campaign.

Ultimately though, LeCras saw season 2015 as an opportunity missed, and he urged the Eagles to narrow their focus.

"It felt like [the Grand Final] went very quickly and we let a huge opportunity slip," he told The West Australian.

"You come out of your year having made a Grand Final and all you want to do is atone for what you did on that day.

"But it’s so far away that you can’t afford to think about it. You have to get back to training and focus on what you’re doing that (particular) day.

"It’s alright to dream, but you can’t take your focus off what you’ve actually got to do."

LeCras was left "devastated" by his side's 46-point loss to the Hawks, but told of the joy he found when daughter Molly tried to make him smile in the change rooms.

Less than a month after the Grand Final, the 29-year-old and wife Emily welcomed a second child – a son this time, Rex.

"That’s the best thing about having a kid, they cheer you up so much when you win or when you lose," he said.

"You can get away from it when you see your kid and they’re just fun to be around.

"It’s quite easy to switch off and they’re always keen to play and go and do something else. You don’t feel like you have to get out of the city to switch off from footy, you can just go home."

Round 1 vs Brisbane

Kicks:19
Handballs: 6
Marks:9
Tackles: 1
Goals:2

Solid display in a comfortable win, wasn't massively influential but amassed 25 touches to go with two goals, definitely played higher up the ground and it was reflected in his disposal count. Good first up outing.

Round 2 vs Hawthorn

Kicks: 11
Handballs: 5
Marks: 4
Tackles: 4
Behinds: 1

Not alone in having a quiet game, numbers were Ok, but was most ineffectual. Most of the possessions came outside the fwd 50 as a result of the hawks pressure.

Round 3 vs Fremantle

Kicks: 12
Handballs: 10
Marks: 3
Hit Outs: 1
Tackles: 8
Behinds: 3

Interesting stats, watching live I thought he was fairly quiet, 22 touches suggest he was finding the ball but the impact wasn't at his usual high standards. 8 tackles is a pleasing side if he can keep the defensive pressure up it helps compensate for his attacking influence. 3 behinds and maybe was a little selfish on occasions.

Round 4 vs Richmond

Kicks: 11
Handballs: 5
Marks: 6
Tackles: 4
Goals: 2

Again not a massive impact for the 2nd week in a row, working much higher up the ground and could be a victim of being handed a "hybrid role" hit the scoreboard twice in an impressive win, would love to see him lift over the next few weeks.

LeCras not in red hot form but he'll be right
Agree, been around too long and is too good to fade into mediocrity just yet. Still has the ability to pop up kick 4 or even 5 in a game and win it for us I feel, needs to step up a little. Tackling numbers are encouraging though, bar Brisbane game.

I could be wrong but he sometimes looks like he tackles to protect his arm. In any case he has the runs on the board and other clubs would love to have him.

Round 5 v Sydney

Kicks: 9
Handballs: 4
Marks: 3
Tackles: 5

Didn't see the game as I was playing myself, but from the sounds of things was another under-performing display from Lecca, one positive is again his strong tackling numbers. Will need to put in a strong showing this week to avoid scrutiny from the match committee.
