In the most simple english you can use, what is line betting and flexi betting and how can you use them to your advantage?

Im new to betting if you havent noticed, and just can not grasp my head around these two.

Line betting is where one team gets a head start.

Example

Collingwood -34.5 $1.90
Carlton +34.5 $1.90

Carlton gets a 34 point head start so if Collingwood wins by less than 34 points, they still lose the line bet. Theoretically the line should be set so that a game becomes a 50/50.

Oh i get it now. What about start 24.5+? Is that basically the same thing?

24.5+ is a margin, where you are betting that the team wins by more than 24.5

+24.5 is a line, where you are betting that at the end of the game, if you add 24.5 to the teams score, they will beat the opposition.

And also tri betting 15 or under or 16 and over? is that just margin betting?

Ill use an example for flexi betting.

Say you are putting a quaddie on at Flemington and pick 3 runners in each leg, usually that would cost you 3x3x3x3 = $81 or $40.50 for half but with flexi betting you can just enter say you want to spend only $20 on it and you will get a percentage of the dividend instead, in this case 24.7%

What if the Quaddie was put on at Caulfield?
