Herald Sun reported today that the Collingwood injury list is now 20.
That leaves us 24 players (including all our rookie listed players) from which to select a team.

And yet still some Collingwood supporters fail to understand that and continue to blame Eddie and Mick for our poor year.

Go figure

Could at least show some ********en heart for those that went over and spent their money to watch them play insipid, heartless football.

The lack of heart was the worst I have ever seen at AFL level, those that went over should get reembersed for it.

We also only have 24 to choose from, but not including rookies.
Although it doesn't hurt to be able to bring in an Ablett as a last resort.

Trade ya Lokan for him.

Injuries have cost us bad this season for sure, and it just keeps on getting worse each week.

Does anyone know if Tommy Davidson has re-injured himself again? Because he wasn't playing for Willi today.

Only 4 Collingwood listed players (Brent Hall, Travis Cloke, Julian Rowe, Andrew Williams) played for Williamstown today. All 4 played well, and I'd like to mention that Rowe's kicking improved a lot today.

Ex magpie Luke Shackleton played for Tasmania today, having little impact on the game.

Williamstown 11.8.74 def. by Tasmania 12.7.79 at Burbank Oval.

Williamstown
Goal Kickers: C. Smoker 2, D. Galea 2, M. Pearce, A. Williams, R. Tallis, J. Dukes, L. Jarrad, P. Rose, T. Cloke
Best Players: L. Jarrad, C. Smoker, H. Lawry, L. Theodore, T. Cloke, B. Hall
Tasmania
Goal Kickers: J. Plapp 4, K. Hall 2, B. Beams 2, S. Lonergan 2, I. Callinan, T. Peterson
Best Players: S. Stephens, I. Callinan, M. Jovanovic, N. Grima, T. Ronaldson, K. Heazlewood

If 4 played for Willi and 22 played in Adelaide that means we have 26 to pick from. 'Only' 18 must be injured.
Gee things are looking up!!!!

So at full strength our midfield consists of Buckley (aging), Burns (aging), Brodie Holland and the rest being either duds, players who have played little in the midfield, or unproven in the midfield.

But yeah, it's easier to blame injuries, that way everyone stays happy!

You'd reckon Billy might have played in the Magoos. One might say he has chronically injured ability!

Surely Billy must line up at full-forward in Collingwood's hack Team of the Century.

He can line up with Stephen Patterson, who will be in the forward pocket. But even Patterson played senior matches! Over 100 if I'm not mistaken.

What the hell did we ever see in him? Words can't express my disappointment in him.

I once kicked 7 goals for the Under-8 Labrador Tigers, does that mean Collingwood will pick me up at the end of the year?

Patto wasn't awful, although I was younger and couldn't be happier when we recruited Marty Warry, too.

Labrador hey? Was in an all in with them a couple of years back in the under 18s.. bunch of dirty sniping.... ahem. :D :D

Didak a dud?
BJ a dud?
Probably others who would have played mid too (Tarrant)

What the ferk are you talking about?

My Claim??
What, do you think I am a journo at the Herald Sun?
Look at page 43 of Sunday's Herald Sun, or get someone to read it to you.

So the next time YOU report something, someone has read to you, that will make it YOUR claim? Fool.

What - feeling a bit dense today underpants, actually why pick on today

"Some drink from the fountain of knowledge - but you only gargled"

Well you seem to keep repeating it as though it is fact ...

only aware of 16/17 injuries myself, but take a one liner from the HS as gospel if you like

See now you have changed from your original point to acknowledging that it did in FACT come from the Herald Sun and WAS NOT my claim

Back peddling suits you

do the 20 injuries include blokes who are playing injured and wouldnt be playing if we actually had anyone else to pick from?

Actually I think the real number is 18 as 4 senior listed players played for Willi last week.

22 (in Adelaide) + 4 (at Willi) = 26
44 (full list incl. Rookies) - 26 (able to play) = 18 (injured)

Do we have a full list of 44?

I think so 40 senior (including 2 Vets) plus 4 rookies, I will however stand corrected if someone has different information.

nah you are right im pretty sure Murray, we have 44 players on our list, and the breakdown you mentioned is right

the club reverted two seasons or so back to numbering all the players from 1-39 or 40, depending on how many are on the list, and not having a Rupert Betheras type running round in 49

the rookies are 41, 43, 44, 45
