He'll only get better with with better deliveries and less pressure on him via 2nd tall forward. Can I say that having watched him today, I’d be shocked if Souv isn’t in the Coleman up to his eyeballs. And if not this year, then he’ll be thereabouts for the five years after that.
And as we watch him being one of the best forwards in the league, let us never forget that we picked him after the league selected SEVENTY TWO other players.
That is just obscenely pornographic drafting for a pillar of your team.

So just based on Souva alone, and the half a game I've seen of us this year... He always looked to be blowing pretty hard and not up to standard for me. That's changed. He's much fitter. Hopefully good signs for the team as a whole.
Comben won't be playing round 1 so it is largely academic in the short term. The only question is whether we play both of Xerri and CCJ for mine.Hoping that he only had cramp at the end of the game. Will be a serious weapon this year and will only be better playing alongside Comben & CCJ inside 50.
We have such a dilemma after today’s game. Before today, I had CCJ in front of Xerri. Now I have Xerri playing Round 1 with CCJ starting in the reserves.
In my opinion, forward line of Larkey, Comben & CCJ looks stronger than Larkey, Comben & Goldstein/Xerri.

If things are working better up field Zurhaar, JHF and Xerri/CCJ should be plenty enough support to let Larks kick a few bags this year.Looks stronger and fitter
But still needs a proper, dedicated tall forward partner (like that time he and Ben Brown kicked 15 between them in a game)
This rotating the spare ruckman forward I don’t know if it’s going to cut it enough.
Really hoping Coomben or Edwards come of as genuine dedicated tall forward.
What do these guys want? A written apology from Larkey perhaps? From The Tackle.
5. Faking handballs
North Melbourne’s Nick Larkey got one over Hawk Tom Mitchell, faking the handball with Mitchell on the mark, which caused Mitchell to move and give away a 50m penalty. The stand rule is a good rule, but the slightest movement prompting a 50m penalty is too big of a penalty. It was smart by Larkey, instinctively wrong by Mitchell and, as an aside, raises questions about the tactic being in the spirit of the game (whatever that means). True, the player with the ball is in control, and he could do whatever he likes, but that fake handball is going to catch out far more players than Mitchell — and that just might infuriate fans.
What a weird take. Shit rules are the AFL's problem, not players who will always try and use them to their advantage. FWIW I hate this current rule that allows uncontested running through the ground. From The Tackle.
