If I was responsible for the list ...give me Betheras, McKee, Freeborn, Steinfort & Jason Cloke (& have promised Scotland a go)...rather than Rhyce Shaw, Fanning, Richards, Hall, Davis, Lockyer, Rowe & Walker...who were all round at that time. I would love to have massaged Molloy to still be playing now too. He would be 30?

We lack blokes that run back with the flight of the ball ie. = absolute courage and we won't win a flag this year because of it. My point is we are not the totally committed to the team cause, tough, courageous side that we were in 02/03.

I don't think that we will win it this year. I have seen Thomas, Pendlebury, Trav, Lockyer, Richards, Egan and Rowey shirk an issue this year (ie. flinch in marking contests). They will all be good players (Tark?) and do that in time, but they don't have the hearts of the guys above at this point.

We have a window of this season and next to win a flag with Bucks, Pebbles, Licker, Burnsy, Obe's, Clement, Wakes & Presty. Wow, argueabley the best goal to goal line going around (throw in Tarrant) and a couple of top level midfielders.

We have a promising future, but so do 12 other teams. I feel we may have missed our chance. Tell me our goal to goal line in 2008 (can include Pebbs, Bucks and Presty but they're best is gone).

Yes, most probably and we didn't win it in 2002 or 2003 either.
We lacked the class in both years , luck also wasn't with us in 2002.
The game has changed in 3 years.
Bar Lockyer all those you claimed to have flinched are un inexperienced footballers adapting to playing with men.
Maybe next year will be our best chance in a while , maybe not , I suppose atleast there is more hope then there was 12 months ago.

My 2006 Grand final Team

B: Clement Presty Johnson
HB: H.Shaw Wakes J.Clo
C: Steinfort (tagging) Obes Betheras
HF: Didak Fraser Tarrant
F: Molloy Pebbles Bucks
R: McKee Licuria, Holland
Int: Freeborn, Burns, Lonie, T.Clo, Davis,
Scotland, Swan (in no particular order)
Em: Maxwell, Caracella, Morrison, Woey

What a team. Committed, courageous and dedicated.

If Molloy not going around = Caracella.
J.Clo was one of the best defenders in the comp (plays loose...crap...no-one kicked goals on him??).

That is better that any Pies team in 2006.

Thomas, Pendlebury, Egan, Davies, Rusling miss out. Wow huh!!

We can lose Walker, Hall, R.Shaw, Richards, Rowe, Fanning & Lockyer

People have got short memories because Rhyce was in our best players every week before he wound down with that knee last year. It will take him more than a month or so prior to him bordering at his 2005 form.

We have gone down the opposite direction, re: ruck stocks.
McKee was serviceable. His efforts released Fraser.

Then, I for one am glad you are not in charge of the list.
