Because he read the memo.

You know, the one titled "North suck, and how they ever win games is beyond belief".

Lift your game Fire, you are letting the team down.

Provide some feedback on why Essendon will slip further.

Incidentally, mine is:

1. Collingwood (two years of pain at the final hurdle)
2. Port Adelaide (might be the shake of reality they need to progress)
3. Sydney (they'll get better)
4. Essendon (the time has come to go up)
5. Brisbane (age will finally catch up)
6. Fremantle (had a taste, want more)
7. Adelaide (final go for the veterans)
8. St. Kilda (a chance for the kids to taste it)

9. Kangaroos (just miss out)
10. Hawthorn (should be higher..need to be harder)
11. West Coast (not this time)
12. Geelong (the kids need to do it now)
13. Carlton (if they gel well)
14. Bulldogs (forwardline looks promising)
15. Melbourne (no good, but, better than the team below them)
16. Richmond (lessons in player management needed).

Teams to slip
Freo - They had a great ruin with injuries in 2003 and won 3 out of 3 close games. It will be an evening out year for them.
Adelaide - due to aging list.
Sydney - only to a more realistic spot
West Coast - I hate them and dream of the spoon for them.....dreams can come true.
North - Hopeless drafting and no depth.

Teams on the rise:
Melbourne - even year 2004
Hawthorn - Are better than they have produced in recent years.
Saints - not much though

Brisbane
West Coast
Collingwood
Fremantle
Port
North
Essendon
Sydney

Melbourne
Hawthorn
Saints
Carlton
Adelaide
Richmond
Geelong

News flash: 6 players over the age of 30. (Ashcroft (ret), Hart, White, Pike, McCrae and Lynch) Lets not call for the wheel chairs just yet. What is the age that a footballer peaks anyhow?

Good to see that Brisbane have already achieved underdog status again. Perhaps a few experts can put them in the bottom 8 so they can really gloat after the four bagger!

Provide some feedback on why Essendon will slip further.

i think they've had their crack over the past five or so years and if it wasn't for brisbane they could have done better. they've been treading water for two seasons and its likely that they'll start to go under.

i'm actually suprised no ones mentioned the fact that i've put the Dogs 11th!! i reckon with grant coming back, getting rid of dead wood (Brown) and picking up some handy players that they'll be the big improvers. 11th may be high but hey, look at the tigers after rnd 7 and where they ended up after rnd 22.

assumeing Injuries take their toll as they do almost every year essendon are in a great spot... Our mid feild is stronger and faster than last year our forwar dline better with more experiance to Cupido and Haynes players who were given a spot because they couldnt find any1 else no longer exist due to depth of list players like Hunt and welsh developing into and Basty backline with the Core Leadership Hird Fletcher Lloyd Wellmen and Jason Johnson still there to back up the young kids i dont see many reasons for us to fall...................................

This is after rd 22, so in the fianls anything can happen!!!

1. Essendon ( gun team looking to fire)
2. Sydney (only going to get better)
3. Port Adelaide (just miss out .......... again,,, hahahahaha)
4. North Melbourne ( North will be the Sydney of this year!)
5. Geelong
6.Freo
7. Collingscum
8. Brisbane- Fitzroy
...........................
9. Adelaide
10. West Coast
11. Footscray
12. Melbourne, will get betta but still ****e
13. Richmond <<<<<< an absolute disgrace
14. St Kilda, still promising, still not delivering
15. Hawthorn, Shawbby to get the SACK! after rd 10
16. Carlton, still a basketcase!!

1. Sydney (Great coach, emerging young team)
2. Port Adelaide (Will be better not to finish Minor Premiers)
3. Collingwood (Could suffer post-Grand Final depression next year, still tipping them to finish quite high though, but you never know)
4. Essendon (Of course I'm going to put my team here. I know they have the talent to do it - will set their position up with a great first half of the year, and a reasonably good second half)
5. Brisbane (Will still be strong, don't worry. Could still win it from 5th)
6. Fremantle (Cosy home ground advantage, like Sydney an emerging young team just not at the age yet to seriously challenge)
**7. Kangaroos (Never write off the Roos!)
**8. Adelaide (Nice home ground advantage, will have patches of brilliance)

-----------------------

**9. Hawthorn (Will fight it out with the Eagles for the best team in the bottom 8)
**10. West Coast (Will probably make the finals due to home ground advantage, only have them here because only 8 teams can make it)
**11. St. Kilda (Grant Thomas seems nice enough, but with him at the helm there are still some question marks. Could still make it though)
12. Western Bulldogs (Will improve, 9 or 10 wins in 2004)
13. Melbourne (It's an even year, so you never know. But just can't put them higher after such a disasterous 2003)
14. Richmond (Not even Nathan Brown can make this side make the finals. Have dug a huge hole for themselves in recent years with bad recruiting, something needs to be done)
15. Carlton (2006)
16. Geelong (I really like Geelong ... it's a shame to put them here, but I had to choose someone. Will not be suprised if they finish higher though).

**Sides from 7-11 all have a show of making 7th and 8th positions. Teams could be in any order.

Premier: Port Adelaide (at last)
Runner Up: Sydney
Brownlow: Ben Cousins or Peter Bell (have both been unlucky in recent years)
Coleman: Lloyd (95 at end of year, will reach 100 in finals)

1. Sydney (please)
2. Brisbane (They're still right there)
3. Fremantle (Gun Side)
4. Port Adelaide (Still good)
5. St. Kilda (kids to deliver, maybe?)
6. Essendon (Good enough to be there)
7. North (Improving side)
8. Footscray (huge turnaround)

----------------------------------------------------

9. Collingwood (Big Slide)
10. West Coast (No quality KP players)
11. Hawthorn (overrated)
12. Geelong (Can't see them improving)
13. Carlton (improve slightly)
14. Adelaide (finished, too old, time to rebuild)
15. Richmond (still average)
16. Melbourne (Bloody ordinary)

1. Sydney
2. Collingwood
3. Essendon
4. Brisbane
5. St Kilda
6. Freo
7. Port
8. Hawthorn
-------------------------------------
9. West Coast Eagles
10. Geelong
11. Adelaide
12. Blues
13. Richmond
14. Roos
15. Bulldogs
16. Melbourne

MINE:

1. McGuire United (And Eddie won't shut up for a year)
2. Brizroy (At least Aker will shut up for a week)
3. Sydney (Will be keen not to slip, and have youth on their side)
4. St.Kilda (As Elvis once sung, It's Now or Never)
5. Essendon (A little Sheedy magic (out of his butt))
6. Purples (Will get there by winning at least 11 out of 12 in Perth)
7. Melbourne (An even Year)
8. Port (Sneaks in, Williams sacked at end of year)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9. Dogs (Love to squeeze them in)
10. Bulgers (Hank to quit mid year for acting career)
11. Weagles (No defence)
12. Geeeeeeeelong (Struggle to kick a winning score)
13. Adelaide (big disappointments despite 80 from Carey at FF)
14. Collo City (Kids will improve for a shot at 2005 finals)
15. Roos (The team with the injury crisis, as there is every year)
16. Richmond (Brown to be laughed at in nude at Footscray mall at end of season)

Brownlow: Too Early
Wiiz-Bang Coop: Dogs
Coleman: Lloydy again
Rising Star: Kepler Bradley (for some reason)
sacked: Frawley, Williams, Thompson
