We sure did.

Updated reviews by lamby29:

Steven Armstrong - Has failed to live up to lofty expectations this year. Has the skill - but does he have the size and courage? Should be a good player in time, but will probably go home to WA eventually.

Daniel Bell - Playing sensational footy in the VFL, very unlucky not to get a promotion. Should have played against North instead of Sylvia. Have to make sure Adelaide don't snap him up at the end of the year.

Clint Bizzell - Injuries have taken their toll. He was playing good footy early in the year. Our defence hasn't missed him as much as you'd think, but still a star of the game.

Troy Broadbridge - Was given a chance in the seniors with Bizzell's injury and has relished the oppurtunity. Will never be a star, but I no longer panic when he has the footy.

Nathan D. Brown - Has been outstanding, and has turned himself into one of the AFL's premier small defender's. Uses the ball well and often gets leather poisoning. A lot to like about this guy.

Cameron Bruce - Has been good, a little bit inconsistent but has played a part in most of our wins. Not quite AA standard but not far off IMO.

Joel Campbell - Will be lucky to last out the year. Dud.

Nathan Carroll - Speaking of duds...

Dale Carson - Still speaking of duds...

Aaron Davey - The AFL's new excitement has been very, very good. Has shown remarkable consistency for a rookie small forward, and is already one of our best players. Starting to tire though.

Ryan Ferguson - Injuries have set him back so far in 2004.

Simon Godfrey - Has gone backwards since 2003. He's not a dud, but if we want to win the Flag, I can't see Godders being part of our best 22.

Adam Fisher - Excellent VFL player, won't make it to AFL. Not damaging enough.

Brad Green - Is slowly but surely becoming an elite midfielder at AFL level. Possesses the most lethal left foot in the game, and his ball winning ability is first class. Has toughened up a bit this year too.

Chris Heffernan - Started very slowly, since he was recalled he has been excellent. Winning lots of the footy, and oozes class whenever he gets near it. Good player, will play a major role in our finals campaign.

Ben Holland - Has been a major disappointment. Played 1 good game against Carlton, a couple of OK ones, and the rest he has been a liabilty. Slow, can't kick and all-round useless. Sad but true.

Cameron Hunter - Been going OK at Sandy. I'm not entirely convinced he'll make it as a league player though.

Mark Jamar - Struggling a bit, too good for VFL level but not good enough for AFL level it seems.

Chris Johnson - Been good for Sandy, progressing quicker than expected. Could play a game in the later rounds.

Travis Johnstone - Hasn't been as bad as some say, but has been a bit disappointing. Very injury prone. Will never be a superstar.

Darren Jolly - Injured.

Chris Lamb - Won't say anything.

James McDonald - Been consistent without starring. Part of our best 22 without a doubt.

Brock McLean - Has been on fire at VFL level, and has made the most of his oppurtunities in the senior side. Looks like a 200 gamer in the making.

Brad Miller - Has made the CHF position his own, and looks like he'll play there for another 10 years. A lot to like about the big man.

Luke Molan - Still working his way back from injury.

David Neitz - A good season from the skipper without being completely dominant.

Alistair Nicholson - Started VERY slowly but has been pretty good since then. Has been beaten on a few occasions but is playing pretty well.

Paul Newman - What happened to him????

Phil Read - Has been good, much better than Holland. Won't ever be a star but thrives on physical contact. I like him.

Guy Rigoni - Gone.

Jared Rivers - Wow. That's all I'll say. Absolute star.

Russell Robertson - Has gone backwards... I had a feeling this will happen. Must lift.

Nick Smith - Illness has set him back. I'd like to see him dominate a game for Sandy before the year is out.

Colin Sylvia - OP has set him back. Played the one game when he really shouldn't have. Will be a gun from 2005 onwards.

Scott Thompson - Very, very, very good. Sadly he will miss 6 weeks with injury. One of MFC's most popular players.

Peter Vardy - A bit hot and cold, but all is forgiven. He has already won us a game off his own boot this year and will be extremely valuable in September. When he's on, he is really on.

Peter Walsh - Crap. Will be delisted.

Daniel Ward - Injuries, suspension and poor form have made 2004 a year to forget for Wardy.

Paul Wheatley - Playing very good football. Has finally realised he has what it takes to become an AFL footballer. Still very injury prone though.

Matthew Whelan - Started slowly, since about Rd 4 he has been solid. Should play his entire career in defence.

Jeff White - Best ruckman in the comp. Enough said. In Brownlow form at the moment.

Luke Williams - HACK. HACK. HACK. HACK. HACK. HACK. HACK. HACK.

Adem Yze - Back to his superstar best. A true great.

Predicted finish: 3rd
