hello fellow eagles fans ... i am obviously a new poster to this sight but ive been reading yor insightful comments over the last month. (I have posted a little about myself on the introductions board).

Anyway, i was reading that the Hay deal has fallen through and will not happen this year anyway.
But it looks like we are very keen on armstrong and will probly get him.

I think that we may trade haynes for a 2 rounder to st.kilda who were reportedly keen last yr and said the offer was still on the table. We will then use our higher 2 round pick to get armstrong.
Personally, that seems fair for all.

On another note....i no some of u r against the idea of this but i wud love to get Matthew Richardson to the eagles. He would run rampant on Subiaco and provide us with the target we have NEVER had in the history of the eagles at CHF.
But im not sure of the appropriate length of contract or what richmond wud want.

I doubt Melbourne would trade Armstrong for a 2nd round pick.

yeh i no but u wouldnt think that they wud ask for much more for a player who is out of contract and played less than 20 games.

Considering a bronlow medalist in woewodin went for pick 16 and a proven player like Heffernan like pick 30.

Why do we want Armstrong out of interest? He would be pushing to get a game in our midfield, plus our problems are elsewhere, not in the middle?

I too would like Richo at WC, but 5 years ago would have been better, he is too old now.

why wouldn't we like armstrong? he's a great prospect.

we all know that we need a key backman but we shouldn't overlook any other potentials that come up. we nned to draft the best players that are available to us.
