Can the Roos win the centre bounces and hitouts around the ground. who will be the top three ruckmen for the roos. Will McKernan have more ruck time or will McIntosh's height give him more chances with the new rules. Will Thompson slip in perfectly around the ground. Could they try hiding Petrie in the ruck.

1. McKernan
2. Thompson
3. McIntosh

Would probably go...

1. Hale
2. Thompson
3. McKernan

It's hard to get an order for these guys as none of them stand out as the number 1.

We will have to wait to find out who Laidley plans on playing. Hale will more than likely continue as the number 1 ruck, 3cm is not a cosmic difference. I'd love to see both Hale and McIntosh in the pre-season games but not sure what JYD has planned.

Petrie had a good 2002, which was the same year Rocca was out for most of the year and played a lot of football out of the goalsquare. His wonky kicking action really wasn't that noticeable from point blank range.

I'd like to see Petrie played at FF and Rocca in the pocket leading out to the 50m line on the flank taking his man out of the play or getting a few shots from around the 50m line with Petrie to go for marking contests within 15m-30m out in front of goal and Harvey/Motlop roving the feet of the pack.

Thompson can play the CHF role, he seems to read the play much better and you can easily get lost in no-man's land if you do not read the play well, something Petrie did at CHF last year.

If Sav is rested i would like to see McIntosh take that role of third tall leading up the ground and give Petrie some space in the forward line with the ball coming to him, rather than him having to read the play and figure out where the ball is going.
