Hello all cat fans!
The finances finally eased up and I was able to purchase my Melbourne 11 membership on the weekend. I am wondering if anyone out there could give me an indication on the likely length of time that it will take to get to me in the post as I am hoping to get to our round 1 game against the bullies. Cheers-

New Membership figure
As at March 26, 2007 we have 24,437

For the record at the same time last year we had 26,831. We have really dropped off. Winning the NAB cup last year gave us another 2,000 members by the look of it.

That figure is not too bad, considering what happened last year.

Plus we need to remember that last year we started the year with 3 games in a row at Skilled Stadium, so people needed to have their memberships by round 1.

Good point. I think by round 5 we should have about 30,000 signed up; not a bad result. If we play well in the first four rounds and win maybe three of them then we should break last years total.

I have not renewed my membership and won't until i see some changes in the "whole club" be effective. The body language from last year will appear early this year if things go sour, i think this year is a pivotal one, play well and regain confidence like early last year and all is good.... play bad and i fel the axe swinging quickly and direct. I do not want my membership $ to be taken for granted by the club and as any shareholder is entitled to ask is why should i? This is seperate from my unwaving support for the club and desire to see it succeed (in my lifetime) simply if you want my financial support then it has to be proven that last years PROBLEMS are gone!
Note: i am an interstate member and my membership $ are a donation as i do not benefit from match entry etc. i have no issue with that but i don't support the body language of last year.
Her's hoping all this will change.
GO CATS

WTF, gee we aren't going so well now, although we haven't had a home game at Skilled yet....does anyone have the member numbers for the same(ish) time last year?
