The potential of this draft is becoming significantly hampered by injury.Just having a look at our selections for the 2009 draft. Could it potentially be as good as 2001? I know it is early but Stephen Wells did a good job, as always.
#17 - Daniel Menzel
#28 - Mitch Duncan
$40 - Allen Christensen
#42 - Nathan Vardy
#56 - Josh Cowan
Ask a Dogs supporter if he'd take a few crap years if it locked in 3 Flags. Its just the footy Gods squaring the ledger. Imagine if we had no injuries...... yes the 09 group seems to have been born under a ladder made of broken mirrors ..or something like that.depressing is all I can think of. We can't complain due to the 3 premierships witnessed recently by bloody hell! Cats supporters have been from one extreme to the next since 2011.

Duncan and Christensen will get to 200 games. Vardy will play 100. Menzel and Cowan are the only ones I question making 100, and if either gets 50 he'll get 100.Looking at the names we had a potential 5 200 gamers. Now its likely we will get 1 200+ gamer, 1 150+ gamer and the rest maybe, MAYBE get to 100 games....

I don't doubt Bundy has made it, the guys going to be a star but I do wonder about his longevity and ability to get to 200 games.
If he can all the better of course.
Duncan right now is tracking for 280-300 games.
Honestly think that's going to become harder and harder to do. I'll just take a blinder in Round 1 for now.
I reckon Duncan has shown as much, if not more, in these early years than many of the stars we have in in our Premiership years. That does mean he will be as good as them but he could be.
He needs strength everywhere, upper body too. He gets bumped around packs too much at the moment. He never stops going in hard, but he needs a little more strength to ensure he doesn't get knocked around too much. Once he builds that he'll be unstoppable.I like Bundy too, he's still got quite a considerable amount of upside to his game and more importantly, his body as he strengthens up the legs and core in the next 3 years.
