So, you have to pay for the extra game?

This is an outrage!

Ill get the burning sticks, you get the pitchfork.

Yeah $30 for an extra game, yet I can walk up and buy a ticket for $20.40:eek:

Pretty much for the seven games in Victoria you are paying $21.45, but there is another catch that they get on, they then turn around and say because Skilled Stadium is all reserved seating, you still have to buy a seat down there also ontop of your membership you have already paid, miss one or two game through the year and your way behind.

Compare it to North Melbourne they get Adult 11 (11 Home games) for $160 or about $14.50 per game.

I have my AFL membership in Crows Club support but have always liked to have one with the club as well through the Boundary Line or Premier memberships. Looking at it though, for $65 it really offers nothing other than the magazines, so I don' think I will renew that one this year. My AFL membership will have to do.

Comparasion to what the other five interstate clubs are offering their Victorian members in 2009

Brisbane Lions: http://www.lions.com.au/Default.aspx?tabid=5237

Pretty much 11 games for $154, plus alot more member benfits.

Fremantle: http://www.fremantlefc.com.au $159

Port Power: https://www.clubsonline.com.au/regi...id=23973885&cftoken=95482462&dts=251120083754 $140

Sydney Swans: https://www.clubsonline.com.au/regi...5313&itemLayout=1&headerselector=3&OrgID=1752 $115

West Coast: https://www.clubsonline.com.au/regi...ationMode=2&SubscriptionTypeID=211&OrgID=1753 $119

Stop whinging you monkeys.

Inflation, credit crunch etc means it is logical in a business and economical sense to raise the prices $30.

If they listened to everything members said every year, youd be paying 1970's prices of $5 a year, because when are the members going to say to the club 'Oh hi m8, can u plz raise the prices kthxbye'.

Im not sure why you've addressed this to the plural.

Only a $7 increase for concession. :p

I'm guessing the 7 Victorian games includes Skilled Stadium as well?

They say it does, but it doesnt, it never has as SS is all reserved seating, so you have to pay ontop of your membership that you have already paid.

The only GA is standing room at SS.

Standard terrace has gone up $17 (I think I am pretty sure I paid $198 last year). That is a 9.5% increase over last year a bit steep if you ask me.

Given christmas etc while I have had my ticket every year, once foxsports in totally in HD and all the games are shown in HD I might just consider staying home and watching the games at home on HD and save myself hundreds of dollars each year.

Will most probably give up my gold ticket next year.

Or you could give up Foxtel HD and go to all the games next year :p

Better off to keep it when 17 of our games are on Foxtel next season, in the ned that is what it will come down to for supporters, pay for Foxtel sit in the comfort of home slab of beer, or goto the each home game.

The current prices offer no value what-so-ever for the member, as I said if I miss one or two games Im way way out of pocket, I will go with my CSG membership and pay as I go for each game in Victoria.

I dont mind raises with the CPI, but I dont really agree with an almost a 10% increase from last year. I just wish the club would look at other options rather than having to come up with $400 in one hit just after christmas.

Maybe the club should look at a pre-pay system as in after you have paid for this year that you then can start paying instalments towards your 2010 tickets.

Why not just do that yourself? Stick $20 in your sock drawer every fortnight.

This is the thing about the AFL that pisses me off. I love the Crows.

But all the AFL teams just feel and look like businesses to me. Look at collingwood, sacking their cheer squad. Raising prices.

Players getting paid half a million dollars. Then that same club asking for government grants and so forth.

It then comes down to the supporter, who now is being asked yet again to pay in a year where quite alot of people will be strapped for cash.

Its ridiculous.

I really cant believe some 'supporters' on here.:thumbsd:

WTF???

Me and the wife are on a single income, with a little girl, studying part time, so going week in week out or season tickets arent really options for us.

I try to get to a couple of games a year, and cant believe there are people who would rather stay home than be there, cheering the boys on, theres no better thrill than that

Knowing the mortgage and car payment is paid on time make a much bigger thrill but you do have a point.

We have discussed not renewing the ‘Gold membership’ element next year because money is getting tight but giving up the season ticket is not an option. An extra $100, humm, not so sure.

Agreed, but I was referring to the people who can afford it but would rather sit at home and watch it on telly

If we lived in Adelaide we'd have season and if possible Gold tickets and we'd be at every game. We buy premier membership (replaces the old boundary line) which gives us nothing really in terms of games... other than the thrill of supporting our club. It will be interesting with finances being the way they are, just how club membership goes for every AFL club.

Finances is what it comes down too, Im not prepared to spend $300 for my wife and I to have AFC memberships, with my roster at work my days off and what shift Im working over w/ends changes, so I cant say definately I will go to all seven games next year in Victoria, I also know the catch with the SS game and having to buy a reserved seat down there. Im better off paying as I go, my CSG membership will get me finals tickets.
