2011 Eliminator Thread

If you finish in the top 8192 weekly you'll be guaranteed a spot in the top half. It's hard to what score will split the top half from the bottom half though as the remaining teams will be divided based on round 10's scores. I am sure something like 1950 or less would get you into the Bottom half. The split mark I guess will be somewhere in the low 2000's.

I have Puopolo, Jacobs, Harris, Mzungu, Hibberd as potential starters where he has Puopolo, Hibberd and Lynch (GC).

I'm the lower ranked team but in terms of total points he is only 6 points ahead. If my under performing premiums in Swan, Bartel and Riewoldt (last week) have decent games then I should be in with a chance.

This is what I assume the line ups will be...My concern is that I have traded already and that as this player has a lot of rookies, I'm scared he could double upgrade this week!

Only about 2.5k different in Eliminator rankings as we are both on the cusp of top half bottom half. Makes for an interesting match. At the moment I feel I have the upper hand mainly because of the mids, but if he upgrades them it could be close!

Tough one for me against Weak as Piss that could go either way. He doesn't have Deledio which is a bonus for him. I ranked 42nd last week so would have liked someone around 15 or 16k but got a guy just over the half way point at 8202

On paper his side looks a little better except in the mids imo but he has a lower ranking and average so I think he's traded heavily early wheras I've got plenty left and will use a couple to improve forward and back this week. Hopefully I can get through another week as I like the Eliminator

My vent: I'm still cursing myself for changing Petrie on to forwardline bench 2 mins before lockout and he scored more than all of my forwards last week. Also annoyed at putting Stanley on bench, Chappy captain and having Harris and Bewick subbed for 25 and 49 respectively, etc.

The result is I'm in real trouble after scoring a shitty 1996 last week and in lower half of draw. Versing someone ranked 97 for eliminator last week, who scored 2266. They're ranked 1688 overall.

Very very similar team to mine which is annoying too because they have slightly more firepower and have plenty of potential trades on offer with Darling/Harris forward/mid 8 & 7 respectively. My guess is that Darling/Swallow will be downgraded to Mzungu and Harris upgraded to a midfield premium completing their mids.

Anyway, I am in huge trouble and need Duffield, Scotland, Lecras to perform this weekend if I am to be a chance, and Curnow playing would really help too.

Obviously I am assuming alot such as they will play Z.Smtih over Ryder and that they will play Puopolo, Jacobs, Stanley (Same as me) in their backline ahead of Hibberd, L.Thompson and Toy. Also assuming that we will have the same captain choice.

To be honest I'm shocked to see how similar our teams are and yet I scored 270 less than them last week.
