Absolutely, Dreamaway, Glass Harmonium, Linton, Alcopop, Herculian Prince, Pinker Pinker, Illustrious Blue, Stand To Gain, Tactic, December Draw, Master O'Reilly are all out.

Which means, Tullamore, The Verminator and then on are the ones on the brink of the 'true' 24 as is stands currently.

I've been on Lost In The Moment for a couple of months now. Still keen.

Few quinellas going on various combos with it including Dunaden, Lucas, Fox Hunt and Unusual Suspect (who was the run of the CC for mine ahead of Tullamore as far as MC form is concerned).

Seth can you please list the non-runners in the top 35 OOE? Thanks.

Definite outs:Absolutely,Alcopop,D Draw & Master O

Doubtful: Dreamaway, Glass H,Herc Prince,P Pinker,I Blue,S To Gain,Tactic

50/50:Linton...how would you know?

Most of the doubtfuls havent had the prep but it wont stop some owners paying up

Was impressed by Lucas Cranach's Caulfield Cup run given the circumstances. Might put a sneaky on while the odds are still juicy.

Question............... Last year we had Myluckyday, who came from nowhere to run 2nd in the cup last year.
Does anybody see another horse coming from out of the blue????

Maluckyday fit the profile of a cups horse to a T, so I don't agree that he come out of nowhere. He had the almost perfect lead up, topped off by his win in the Lexus. I had 4 horses for my trifecta, and he was one of them.

Unless you mean "out of the blue" in that it was his 2nd prep?

Lamasery ($201) and Tanby ($61) are probably the only two lightly raced types I'd look at. They are going into the Bendigo Cup and Geelong Cup respectively. I'm not sure what they need to do to qualify exactly though from here.

Bit rough, he's a group 1 winner isnt he?
Who was the last Metrop winner to do the double? Hell - I think the last horse to even run in the Metrop and win the cup was Saintly and he certainly doesn't have that class.

Stunning win from Dunaden in the Geelong Cup, was 3rd last in running, and sustained a 1000m run to circle the field and run down Tanby.

Surely he'll be on the first 3 lines of betting after that run.:)

Got on early this week at 40's woooo thanks matty
No problem, couldn't believe the odds after the Caulfield Cup, he had similar form to Americain (2010 version), yet was 40-1 on Betfair.

Just hoping Illo can keep the run going in the MV Cup this week for Bart, although I'm less confident about him, as that will be a tougher race then the Geelong Cup IMO.

I always love it if I can get at least 2 runners into the field at very good odds, makes the race a little better, win or lose.

Have watched it again & he was impressive sustaining a long run.
Not sure he has Americain's versatility to find a spot & accelerate but its clear today was a bonus.
Tanby form is well established to be A-/B but he's a player with the weight drop.
No excuses not to be on at a big price, 1st mention here on page 1 when he was trading @ $250+

Bauer was luckless & that moves him up to around 42 in the OOE...still in trouble

Tanby at A- is generous I would have thought seth.
Not denigrating the winner at all though - will rightfully run top 3 in betting on Cup day.

Perhaps but his form is as consistent & progressive as any local stayer
Always runs to his rating even when building into his prep.
Clearly 2012 is his goal but he's stepped up every start so far

Cheers Seth!

About time I start posting on this forum. I put an early $10 on Dunaden at $81 and then a further $50 at $41, primarily with information I've read in this thread, so I owe it to you guys. Put a $20 on him for today's Cup so regardless of the Melbourne Cup, I'm up a little bit anyway.

Seth, what's your thoughts on Booming? Got on him at $101, came home well last weekend, definite cup runner?
