I am very worried that Nole's run of victories will end when it matters most. This level he has been playing at is so high atm and one has to wonder how he will play with grand slam pressure on him.

Rogowoska lost in straight sets in the firs round of qualifying. Fergurson won 6-2 6-3 and Sally Peers won 7-5 6-3. Peers plays Heather Watson tonight and Matosevic plays Marsel Ilhan.

Always the same story for Aussies in qualifying.

Ball - I honestly have no idea what's happened to him after making an ATP final and putting in a good performance against a very inform Fernando Verdasco at AO a couple of years ago. I honestly thought he'd make it. Even if he's not a claycourter, if you're going to do anything you will still win a 1R Q match.

Guccione - Has weapons, but IMO from what I've seen of him doesn't have the nouse (sp?) around the tennis court to ever have a massive impact on tour. I'm just thinking he probably did well at juniors because he could serve people off the court.

Rogowska - She's still young (only about 20 or so I think), so I'm not going to write her off yet but after losing that match where she was leading against Safina a couple of years ago at USO she has seriously struggled. I'd be suprised if she ever got anywhere.

Sophie and Sally lost their matches tonight. Sophie will lose a few points because she won a round in the main draw.

Matosevic still to play his 2nd round qualies match.

Draw kinda released. Hewitt starts with Montanes and then Cilic in the second round. Not a bad little section by any means, but he'll get done in by Montanes. Tomic yet to be placed.

Stosur drawn for a Wozniacki quarter, but has it pretty bad before then. Should make it through to the fourth, but Goerges awaits...

Men's draw:
Isner has Rafa straight up. Wasn't Isner seeded at AO? Obviously has been losing heaps, I had no idea.

Tomic to play Berlocq, Argentinian so I assume he is a clay courter. Winner will most likely play Almagro so that'll be that for whoever wins anyway.

Del Potro will play Karlovic.

Djokovic to play De Bakkar.

Women's:
Not a bad draw for Sam, she had a close match with Goerges in Stuttgart so she's obviously a tall girl she can manage with (at least 3000 times better than Masha, Vika and Kvitova). Sam has Benesova first up.

Dellacqua has Pironkova who has done hardly anything of late, I honestly haven't seen either girl play in ages though so anyone could win.

Dokic has Dushevina.

Gajdosova has Razzano. Unfortunately Razzano's fiance' died of a brain tumour about a week ago but he told her to play RG anyway.

Alright, looking at the draw now, this is who the Aussies have:

Men:

Hewitt vs. Montanes - He's actually got a decent draw that he could sneak if he had been playing matches but no use expecting anything, hopefully he's fit.

Tomic vs. Berlocq - Wouldn't think he's a shot as carlos is a decent enough claycourter, but his couple of results on clay this season suggest he could take a set or two

Women:

Stosur vs. Benesova - First week looks decent enough. Not too easy that she can fall in a lull but matches she should win. Georges in the 4th round looks to be a very interesting match. Woz is waiting for one of them in the quarters...

Dellacqua vs. Pironkova -Pironkova hasn't been in great form but no way Casey is winning this on clay.

Rodionova vs. Petrova - No chance.

Gajdosova vs. Razzano - Going to be an emotional match, due to the circumstances with Razzano's financee dying of a brain tumour. Could bring out anything. Can make the 3rd round with a match against Petokvic in the quarters.

Dokic vs. Dushevina - Result against Lucic was a massive disappointment. Be surprised if she can beat Vera considering that result but we can hold out hope....

Looking at the draw itself... Rafa has got a reasonably diffcult draw, Davydenko in the 3rd, 4th could be a number of people and then Soderling in the quarters, he has had easier. Murray has an ok draw, Ranoic in the 3rd and troicki in the 4th are challenges but both winnable. Federer has Lopez again, don't think it will be anything like Madrid, Ferrer in that quarter for him. Djokovic has a toughish draw, Del Potro in the 3rd and maybe bellucci or Gasquet in the 4th round, he'll have to be switched on, lucky he is....

I agree with all these apart from the one in bold. Casey beat Peer last week on clay. Winning a set 6-1. She has also made the third round of RG in 08 and runner up in the doubles i would give her a decent shot. Wouldnt say no way she isnt winning it. Also just saw some pictures of Dokic and she has gained a bit of weight since having a break.

Nah, her serve is too weak for clay, she lost to Morita in the next round there too, not a great result. Could not hold her serve. I would be very surprised if Casey wins it.

Not surprised about Dokic....

Interesting draw for Stosur, looking forward to her Qtr final match up against Wozniacki if it eventuates.

Honestly, I think the potential 4th round matchup with Gogeres will be tougher than Wozinacki

Vera 3-9 this year, so Dokic is a real shot.

I think Murray has got a pretty good draw, Melzer in the QF isn't as hard as other people's QF.

Is RG starting Sunday or Monday? I was looking at a schedule on the site that pretty much stated they were starting tomorrow, since when does a GS start on a Sunday? Maybe I was looking at the wrong thing...

Starting tomorrow. RG always does and the play the first round over 3 days. Stosur and Hewitt will both play tomorrow though.
