good point walesy but if im going to fork out nearly 200k for a kid who could be a gun who probably will score 20 more points than a 2nd round pick as you mentioned

but when there is another kid who has played vfl i know who i would rather

and i do get your point about gaff being so much more but the fact that you have 3 extra players to get makes ANOTHER increase unreasonable

and as mentioned by narkee in the fanfooty thread on the dt board we are being penalised because of the gold coasts concessions which isnt fair

and in regards to your point about diversity in teams who really cares its the trading that sepperates the men from the boys

From what I hear, they are adjusting the magic number to account for these 3 players, so relatively, you won't be out of pocket.

(ie, a 30 man team that would have costed $10mil under the old magic number will be scaled down to cost you $9.7mil, leaving you coinage for the 3 extra places.)

You could just get Swallow and Gaff...

You could just get Swallow and Gaff...
most people probably will

i was just pointing out that gaff will likely be even more expensive than normal and therefore not worth it in my opinion but hopefully that wont be the case :D

will anyone be pickign up NAblett? you'd figue he would be getting plenty of delivery from his brother...

Given he was the last selection in the PSD I'm not nearly confident about his selection come game day to be picking him up.

Provided he is injury free and can play out the entire season.....Drew Petrie will be an absolute bargain forward option. He only played 2 games last year.

I read that Nth will be keeping him safe and play him deep in the forward line. Want get the ball as much up ground if this is true, put will be the no.1 target in the FWRD 50!!

After my complete failure in the rucks this year (Clark and Hille :o) I playing it safer next year. 2 premium rucks is the way i'll be starting... hopefully.

I'm pretty keen on Jolly, he was really hitting his straps in the second half of the season. Guess Sandi should be a lock, but i'm not completely sure. Griffen arriving at Freo as well as the new interchange rule makes me wonder if he'll spend a bit more time up forward this year. Can someone convince me i'm wrong?

Who failed you more last year, your premium ruck who dropped his average by 22 points, or your speculative mid-pricer who increased his salary by $130k before unluckily getting injured?

With Ablett scoring like he did last year without any communication from his coach for 3/4 of the year, is he underpriced? Considering his new coach will be building his own gameplan with Ablett as the centrepiece and not many other stars will be taking the points off him...what a quandary this is, preseason games will be interesting.

One of the factoids that I look at is the fact that 8 out of 10 of the top averaging mids were from top4 teams this year. The other 2 were Judd and Barlow, from top 8 teams.

But while he's got history against him in that respect, Building a team up the way CG17 has been is without precedence!

The biggest this that has ruled him out in my books is that come round 11, they'll have already missed two games- perfect for a trade in, and unlikely to have raised in price!

One of my super coach "philosophies" is that your premiums must come from teams that win games. So obviously at least a top 8 side. There will of course be exceptions but it is a good rule to follow.

Agreed with everything you said, guess we'll wait and see.

One of the factoids I use is that if someone uses the word 'factoid' in a sentence, I think, NNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRDS! (Done in my best revenge of the nerds voice). ;)

Petrie will be a very popular pick if he is a MPP as expected.

Will anyone be considering players who have switched clubs?

Bruce, Houli, Grigg and so on?

As a cheap forward, anyone getting Anthony (even for bench) would imagine he is dying to play senior footy and desperate so hopefully he can perform.
