It was suggested in another thread that we as a board run our own predictor.

I assume there is a points system to calculate the overall/ongoing ladder, based on everybody's predictions, which will be updated in the OP.

I'll kick things off:

1. Hawthorn
2. Collingwood
3. Carlton
4. Sydney
5. Geelong
6. Essendon
7. North Melbourne
8. Fremantle

9. Brisbane
10. West Coast
11. Richmond
12. St Kilda
13. Melbourne
14. Adelaide
15. Gold Coast
16. Western Bulldogs
17. Port Adelaide
18. Greater Western Sydney

My post from the main board.

Forgot to do this last year so I better have a go now. Will edit pending fixtures.

1. Hawthorn (need a good run with injuries)
2. Collingwood (still enough talent there to finish top 2)
3. Carlton (can they take the next step?)
4. Geelong (if they can finish top 4 watch out come september)
5. Essendon (wishful thinking? probably, but with a new fitness coach hopefully we can get bigger and stronger over the off season.)
6. Fremantle (injuries smashed them this year, new coach new era. Could swap them with Essendon)
7. West Coast (not convinced they will improve)
8. North Melbourne (will scrape into the finals and lose the elimination final by some margin)
-----------------------
9. Sydney (lost too many games they should have won last season, Goodes isn't getting any younger)
10. Richmond (need more consistency)
11. St Kilda (the rebuild begins)
12. Brisbane (could possibly finish higher with Merrett and Brown fit and firing, showed good development in their mids. A lot of potential to work with)
13. Western Bulldogs (hard one to pick, could finish anywhere from 6th to 13th)
14. Melbourne (another team with big question marks, will need to improve)
15. Gold Coast (will improve)
16. Adelaide (the exits of a lot of key young players will hurt them)
17. Port Adelaide (really poor team, can't see where the improvement will come from)
18. GWS (will struggle)

Yeah, minor premiership.

Really??

Every time i do one i'm basing it on how well suited/structured/prepared for finals football the top sides are....it's not a big change but this year for example i think Carlton may perform well in h&a, yet i still feel they have some deficiencies that will be exposed in September.

So i'll go:

1. Hawthorn
2. Collingwood
3. Sydney
4. Geelong
5. Western Bulldogs
6. Essendon
7. Carlton
8. West Coast
-----------------------
9. St.Kilda
10. Fremantle
11. Richmond
12. Adelaide
13. North Melbourne
14. Brisbane
15. Melbourne
16. Port Adelaide
17. Gold Coast
18. GWS

Having said that, I'm pretty sure something like 14 of the last 17 years a side that's made the top 4 has come from outside the 8 the years before, and about half of those were bottom 4 the year before.....and very rarely did ANYONE see it coming....

....so it's bloody near impossible really. :)

.

I havn't looked much at the draw but I'll give it a shot.

1. Collingwood - will finish on top but won't win the flag
2. Hawthorn - quality side
3. Geelong - Resting players may result in them finishing this low
4. Fremantle - I think Lyon will do wonders
5. Essendon - Little injuries will see a push for the top 4
6. West Coast - Will be good if they can stay near the top
7. Carlton - Unfortunately too high for my liking
8. Sydney - They normally are near the finals

9. North - will challenge for the 8
10. Saint Kilda - new coach so who knows how they will go
11. Richmond - close to 9th
12. Brisbane - who knows
13. Adelaide - could improve with a new coach
14. Western Bulldogs - not good anymore
15. Gold Coast - should improve a bit
16. Melbourne - they are really bad
17. Port Adelaide - are just bad
18. GWS - new team

Collingwood
Hawthorn
Carlton
Geelong
West Coast
Essendon
Fremantle
Kangaroos
Swans
Richmond
Brisbane
Adelaide
Stkilda
Melbourne
GC
Bulldogs
Power
GWS
