pav or cloke?

Good question. pav would be a more consistent investment but is 40k or so expensive, Cloke wont give you that consistency but I think he has a higher ceiling and will pull some big scores.

I actually have Cloke in my team ATM. He is a much more rounded player nowadays and if he kicks 4-5 and clunks a few contested marks he will get some serious points. Reckon his value will go up this year.

Still think pav has some good footy left in him and will average around 100-105 a game, but for me perth based players do tend to fall away quickly after the age of 30 due to the increased travelling over their careers.

Also I currently have Porplyzia in my team but I think the high risk of him doing his shoulder again (and he has a calf injury) might force me to make the change.

i think it's a good move! well as good a move as porps anyway. ports going to play him for sure, and he is only going to improve!

saying that, i have porps in my team, but i wouldn't be even a little bit upset with butcher!

Neither - sorry but you can make the same $$$ increase from a decent rookie at only half the price, IMHO

It's funny how quickly you change your line-up in these early stages.

Both are out now, currently sitting with Saad and Skinner, freed up money and upgraded Butcher to Franklin.

Any thoughts on what to expect from Saad? Obviously a lot of VFL goals, but obviously doesn't mean all that much going into the big league (i.e Aaron Edwards).

Could Terry Milera be a better option that's less taken?

Saad looked quiet good the bits l seen.but with milne and schider as there small forwards unless they play more up the ground l dont think so but may happen. l have in my team now but could change to weedon from the eagles with no lecrae he might get more games but who knows these kind of players are hot n cold as small forwards.GHS/billie smelts played well for the cats might get early games aswell.

Anyone jumping on Rielwoldt after Friday??? Brown for that matter???

Admittedly, horrid conditions for Johnno last night but still, neither is screaming pick me!!

i'll make a judgement on roo and brown after seeing them play more

On goodes does anyone think it's worth starting him instead of franklin. Its something i've been considering very recently but is franklin just too good to ignore?

at the very least im probs gonna start goodes in front of fyfe/pav and then upgrade to the best of these two as no one can split them atm

Glad you said that... doing exactly the same. Starting BOTH Goodes & Franklin despite Goodes record of slow starts. He looked in good touch on Friday.

Fyfe I think is overpriced and will come back some and I haven't written off Pav yet. Will grab either one as one of my first upgrade targets.

Goodes is a machine, still out endures most kids 10 years his junior. Dont currently have him in my side, and was until yesterday pretty confident with the decision. Now i'm not so sure

Hopefully he either rips it up or takes a back seat for the remainder of the NAB cup.

But Riewoldt I am strongly considering. It may be over simplistic thinking but before last year he was consitently averaging over 100, in fact from 06 to 09 his lowest average was 113.
One bad year due to injury, the Saints many dramas etc... I don't buy into the he is a key forward and SC finished arguement. I just feel at worse he will repeat last year and ave around 90, or he could turn it around like Cox did last year and make the 100 mark again.

Less of a chance to make a mends than Cox. Cox was blessed with the new interchange rule, which kept him on the field.

The problem with Roo in comparison to Brown is that Brown took a nose drive (Pun intended) because of injuries. Where as Riewoldt just couldnt find his feet.

I cant see him falling down any further, he is a champion and he should bounce back, but tread with caution.
