Trying to navigate around the team page on my android phone, doing a few practice substitutions / trades etc, the graphics sometimes go haywire - the news window overlaps, can't see all the players on the team page, can't even do substitutions properly.

This is potentially a huge problem given the reduced time to change your team this year and not being able to access a computer in time.

If any others out there with android phones could give this a try and post feedback?

Hopefully a dedicated app will become available

Re: 2012 S/Coach site problems on Android browser

There used to be a mobile site at scmobile.heraldsun.com.au but it looks a little dead at the moment. I've tried a few different browsers but none of them render the site properly, really hoping someone brings out an app before the season kicks off (there's one on the way for dreamteam this month)

It doesn't work great on iPhone either. If you hit the little mini-stats button on a player, everything is screwed and you have to refresh :S

But, the official word is an Android and iPhone app will be available "some time" this year.

They intentionally make the mobile sites bad in order to increase app sales.

They killed the mobile site last season when they put out the iPhone app. Android could only use the "real" site, which generally didn't work. No idea what their plans are this year but it's probably going to involve handing over cash.

Response to website query:

"Thank you for your email.

Please keep an eye out on the website for more information regarding an Android app.

Kind Regards,

The SuperCoach Support Team"

I don't mind forking over a few bucks for an app, but it better not be plastered in ads.

"Yet" ;) But, seriously, the apps should be launched as SC opens for the new year!

They're probably still debating whether or not they can get away with charging $4.99 for an app with ads.

I dont know why someone cant bring out a SC app. Andriod is just as popular as Iphone now.

Ugh! I just tried logging on with my Android (Nexus/ICS). Chrome for Android - couldn't log on. Native browser - couldn't log on. Firefox - logged on, couldn't scroll through players if you wanted to browse to make a change.

Useless! The Hun better come out with a decent dedicated app. and one that is preferably free. Goddamn gorging us if they make us pay.

There was a post by the powers that be on the Supercoach facebook page saying that there will be an Android app coming for the 2012 season but no date.

Given there is an Android app for the NRL Supercoach competition I'm hoping that the AFL app is ready sooner rather than later.

BTW the Android tablet browser seems to handle SC okay.
