It should be something like this:
OUT:
Johncock (ret)
Joyce (delist)
Tambling (delist)
Callinan (delist)
Martin (delist)
McKernan (trade)

IN:
Betts (FA)
Laird (upgrade)
Hartigan (upgrade)

Given our sanctions, I think two (live) picks in the draft is all we will bother with, as well as keeping a PSD pick up our sleeve (Forster, Duigan, Chapman, etc).

If we trade in any other players, then I think the order of additional delistings would go 1. Riley, 2. Jaensch, 3. LT

Betts takes Callinan's spot but IMO he'll get offered either the 'old Crow' spot on our SANFL list or maybe some sort of mentoring role.

Riley's had his chance IMO, been on the list for a while and still can't break into the side, an inside mid who is now behind Thommo, Danger, Grigg, Crouch and Lyons.

Tambling showed a little bit late in the season but I don't know if it'll be enough to save him, if Hendo goes we might consider giving him one more shot.

Martin is contracted but if we land Polec who plays in virtually the same position and is an infinitely better option, you'd think the club would consider paying out his last year.

L. Thompson is now last in line behind Talia, Rutten, Hartigan and Otten as a tall option in defense and you'd think again the club might consider paying out his last year as you'd expect that he and Martin would be on very little and it wouldn't impact our salary cap much.

When was the last time you looked at a map? Adelaide's closer to Darwin than Brisbane is.

Well actually you are right! I obviously never would have guessed that. Queensland's a lot fatter than you think when you take a careful look at it. By the way, the difference in distance is only 230km so it really is a draw.

I'll just change my argument to at least he would be in a climate more similar to home, then show myself the door....

Wouldn't Callinan prefer to play at Centrals over a Crows reserve side if he's dropped from our main squad?

Also, McIntrye's delisting sees him join Clayton Lamb and John Hinge in the "1 AFC Career Games" List

Given our lack of quality draft picks, our de-listings will be minimal, all dependant on trading.
Joyce and Callinan should already be cleaning out their locker. Allows for Laird and Hartigan upgrades.
Johncock retiring, but Betts added.
If we trade McKernan , Henderson , L Thompson , MacKay and/or Lyons, we wont need to de-list anyone else. Leaving Tambling with a one-year contract!

Don't think if Martin goes I think he should be traded not delisted the problem is opportunity not that he isn't up to AFL.

L Thompson - I think would hold as injury replacement for Talia,
Shaw for Otten and Hartigan for Truck

I think Shaw and Otten will fight for that spot Shaw kept Otten out of the side last year and vise versa this year.

In the sanfl but afl is a whole new level. Sam Shaw would do better.
Do you remember Shaw's last few games including the Freo final in 2012?

I like him and reckon he will be a valuable rebounding tall defender, or even a useful lead up forward, but still plenty of ?? over Shaw.

Conversely, Johnston's skill level and decision making is lightyears ahead. Now he has increased his intensity levels his defensive side will probably be good enough now also. Certainly has a new found love of tackling.

I was talking to Callinans friend, crows want him as an assistant coach in the future at Adelaide reserves, do they give him a final season and then move into coaching? he wants another year or two and said he would move if he had to. I for one would like to see him and Tambling stay, both played the last few games in the seniors and had some solid matches.

I dont want to see Martin or Jaensch on the list after December, I think Aiden Riley is gone, L. Thompson could be good for GWS or even the Saints given there now lack of anything really, and Dees could use a key defender to play as a second or third to move Grimes out of the taller opposition,
Shaun McKernan Henderson and Mackay, I like those 3 but if they are home sick im happy to see them go,
Angus Graham is pure backup... tho backup to McKernan Jenkins and now Otten, so if Mac goes Gus stays or vis vursa or both go and we recruit a young established of VFL / SANFUL ruckman

"(Callinan) is one of five players at West Lakes without a contract and is unlikely to know his fate until the end of the trade period." - Herald Sun
Any one know who are the other 4?... this was written Friday

Tambling , Joyce , Riley and McKernan.
I also thought Jenkins was out of contract, but since theres been no talk of him, I guess he got a 3 year deal when traded to us.

On 5AA this morning Rooch hinted that the futures of a couple on the list would be known after dealings with GWS. I thought he inferred that there would be a GWS player coming in and that would decide the future of Tambling. Any ideas of who could replace him from the GWS list. Anyone know how Shaun Edwards is situated.? I see he only played 2 games this year in the seniors.

I think its a distinct possibility a GWS player could be traded. GWS will be itching for senior players and Tambling could provide some senior experience for them. I did state before I thought Tambling suits GWS criteria, plus GWS need to shrink their list size down to the normal AFL club quota. This means in their search for increased depth and experience they have no choice but to give up good kids who are on the fringe but aren't seen in their best 22 next season.
