He definitely should't be expected to be a consistent midfielder yet, of this group only 2 have become consistent players.

However Very Interesting to note that 75% of the top 20 mids in the 2007 draft had breakout years last year...

• Selwood going from 18.7 touches a game to 24.9
• Ward going from 20.8 to 24.4
• Dangerfield going from 17 to 26.7
• Masten going from 14.6 to 21.7
• Ebert going from 13.6 to 22.9
• Cotchin going from 24.1 to 27.6

Well put people are very forgetful Ziebell is still 21 and has been playing in the guts against all commers where most are shielded from it early.

Regardless of all the age comparisons, I think it is fair to say Ziebull had a disappointing year.

I am confident he will keep improving when he gets fitter/older, it might just be a year or two later. It's whether he can get to the "elite" standard we hoped for that is not yet been proven - i'd say it is 50/50 at the moment.

JZ is the least of our concerns. He is already a quality player, its the Basti/Taz/JMac etc types that really need to step up which is where our major improvement will come form.
