The (real) top 25 will be interesting given the events of Week 8

5. Stanford
6. Missouri
7. Miami (FL)
8. Baylor
9. Texas Tech

My early prediction. I think Clemson will get hammered purely because of the eye test.

if Oregon win this week they will leap FSU, and Missouri will leap Ohio State if they win. 4 ranked Vs ranked is a good way to start of the BCS rankings, the Computer polls are interesting right now.

Not surprised that Florida State get #2 spot with the win over Clemson. Think IF Oregon can win next 2 against UCLA and Stanford then they should go above Florida St. Doubt many would of predicted Missouri at 5 before the start of the season! Going to be tough for Ohio State, even if they run the table. Only ranked team left on their schedule is #22 Michigan.

Ducks will be #2 with just a win this weekend 0.0028 is the difference between 2 and 3, a win over a ranked team no matter how close will do more in computer polls than a blow-out vs a shit team. Ducks are still 2 in human polls

True. I guess it was more off that if we can't beat both UCLA and Stanford, plus whoever they'd face in the pac-12 championship then they wouldn't likely be leapfrogged by Florida State for the #2 spot at years end.

4 Big10 teams in the top 8??? I'd love to see the set of results that would be required to achieve that. All 4 teams would need to win out, which is mathematically impossible.

Ohio State - W, W, B, W, W, L, W - 12-1
Michigan - B, W, W, W, W, W, L - 11-2
Nebraska - W, W, L, W, W, W, B - 10-2
Wisconsin - B, W, W, W, W, W, B - 10-2

It's clear from the polls to date that no-one rates the Big10 this year, certainly not enough to have 3 2-loss teams in the top 8. Nebraska are 5-1 and only just ranked - even if they go 5-1 from here as you predict I can't see them jumping 15 spots up the rankings.

As he's a 'trendsetter' he can just sprout ridiculous shit.

Even with Florida State No. 2 in the initial BCS Rankings, I'm certainly not worried nor scared about it.

It's pretty simple for Alabama and Oregon, they win out, they'll be in the National Championship Game.

Looking at our remaining schedule though, it's certainly not easy. Three ranked teams left to play, including two in the next two weeks (No. 12 UCLA, @ No. 8 Stanford). Also in the last regular season game, it's the Civil War match-up with No. 25 Oregon State (6-1 although they suffered an embarrassing opening day loss to Eastern Washington). There's also Utah (who knocked off Stanford) and at Arizona (4-2) so it's a very tough run home. Not to mention a possible PAC-12 Championship Game against either Arizona State or UCLA again if we win out.

I do feel like we should take care of the Bruins this weekend. Not sure what the go is with De'Anthony Thomas, but I'm hoping he can return and play some important minutes in preparation for Stanford.

As for the Heisman Trophy race, it's looking like a two-horse race right now between Mariota and Winston. Having watched a fair bit of Mariota this season, I'd have him ahead (can't believe he was $19 pre-season) but only just after Winston's performance against Clemson in Death Valley.

When is the NCAA going to admit that the only mistake USC made - the one that led them to punishments far outweighing their actions - was that they didn't fall on their sword. The punishments handed to USC for, compared to Miami, relatively minor and contained offences (contained in terms of numbers guilty), are ridiculous. I'm a Trojan fan, I must say, but Miami were found to have allowed a booster to pour thousands of dollars in over a long period of time, ensnaring many players in his web, and they're basically given a slap on the wrist. The NCAA is a joke. Ohio State fans should be upset, too. They were similarly shafted by the NCAA.

So are you assuming that Alabama, Oregon, FSU and Oregon win out? I'd like to see that. There is absolutely no chance Georgia will finish ranked at the end of the year, all their skill players are out permanently. I also don't know what world you live in with Baylor not being in the Top 25 and you have schools like Boise and Notre Dame ranked at the end of the year (Coincidentally how did they both come from 30 last week - makes one think you arbitrarily wanted to include Boise State in your rankings at years end). Baylor will cream Texas and the rest of the weak Big 12 this year. I'm not sure if you remember Texas struggling to beat the same ISU as Baylor did by 60 odd.

Good effort but need to start watching some Baylor ball.

I actually made an error, Boise State came in at 26 once I completed it all, looked back and realised I had an error. (Rutgers should be 25)

And on the Baylor topic. Remember, my rankings are based on pre-season adjusted with results so far this year. I had Baylor starting 7-0 before hitting a wall and finishing 1-4. So so far, they haven't done anything to effect the rankings, all their movement has been due to other teams ****ing up. (Pre-season 37, ever since hovering between 30 and 33)
