Actually interested what most peoples opinions on who would make a greater impact on the current Richmond side? Jetta or Parker/Hannebery/Mitchell, Lewis or Rioli, Christensen or Mitch Duncan?

I honestly think only Christensen might have a bigger impact then Duncan but not by much and it would be because he plays as a genuine inside mids as well. Its why i firmly believe in taking a quality high production player like Dunstan or Sheed with our first pick.

Hannebery, Rioli, Christensen.

Hannebery because he is an out and out jet.
Rioli because I'd drool seeing him at Jack and Ty's feet.
Christensen because he is 10x better player than Duncan.

All I know about Garlett from our end is we have been to watch him so we haven't ruled him out. Whether that amounts to anything I have no idea.

IMO he's a 3rd round onwards. Once the more safe bets to be good players are gone then someone will likely take the punt.

Get rid of Astbury for one from GWS. They want KPD's badly.

That's what i think every time i read their heights. If Hartung, Taylor and co were 5 cm taller it would probably be a bumper draft crop.

But hell even the cream is pretty short by positions Aish, Kelly, Crouch, Billings, Sheed, Freeman, Hourigan, Marsh, Salem etc..

Also part of the reason Bontempelli may shoot up the draft boards. Big tall midfielders are highly prized

I know everyone will probably say we don't need a HBF but seems Ellis, Conca, Vlastuin have all turned into mids what about Kade Kolojashnij? Quick, skilful, good mover. We saw what happened when we lost Houli's run from defence.

Think we may ignore Garlett going by what C4 wrote about us not wanting to be burned again after Troy Taylor. Snoop on the drafts forum said a few clubs still had a big strike through his name this year still despite improvements.

All of which is a bit disappointing because at a 3rd or 4th pick he represents value and if we keep Choco, moving Garlett to Melbourne (from Perth so the adjustment wont be as bad as it was for TT) it could be an inspired choice.

In my dreams its starting to look like trading Conca to WC for Lycett and 3rd (more likely 2nd but you've sold me on 3rd in my dreams) Dunstan @ 8 Sheed @ 12 and Garlett @ 30. Absolutely nobody on here could complain except Magic who would be disappointed we didn't trade Jack and Lids for Boyd.

Excellent point. I would have thought that seeing our midfield as our strength, not only in quality but in depth, that we
1. Have the option of going for a non midfielder with our first pick if we see them as being as just the best option
2. There seems to be so much mifield depth in this draft that we could still get a very good midfielder at our second pick

No thanks, people have a hard enough time with Deledio, Derickx, Grigg(s) and Vlastuin, getting this guy is just asking for misspellings and bad pronunciation

Very Impressive is Matty Crouch, and I don't recon his best is yet to come this year. IF he was available at our pick, should we go another inside player and get this obvious talent or go for that outside mid?

Wouldn't mind the Tigers picking Crouch to add to our inside midfield depth. He gets a stack of the ball and has been impressive at TAC Cup level from all reports.

I reckon Mitch Thorp as a late pick could have some merit.

The commentators mentioned during one of the champs matches that Bontempelli collected 50 something disposals and kicked a bag of goals in a game not too long ago, not sure what level it was but you don't do that at any level without some serious talent

At this stage I would love to get Salem. Great vision, great kick, and can play both inside and out,although predominating we'd like him outside. The other week he had a massive last qtr for sandys win over ranges. Won some critical contests and kicked the winning goal. Suits a need
