Why Rowe as a fwd rookie? maybe put him into R$ and include someone like Josh Simpson or some other fwd rookie
Rest looks okay - how many do you think will end up in the top group in their area? for mind i think you have 10 which is good

I put Rowe in there the Cox forward/ruck combo. Leaning towards 10. Thanks for the feedback!

Cox, Ryder, Roughhead I like, big point scorers, I used luenberger in the ruck with Roughhead however, and Cox and Ryder in the forward.

Midfield looks pretty strong. Got similar, but no Fyfe.

Nice looking squad.
You could swap B Goodes for B Staker that would allow you to swap Jaksch and Staker between the Forwards and Backs if needed Also Colquhoun Could swap into K Mitchels spot and Stevenson into the back line allowing you the back to midfield DPP

Thanks for the feedback... I originally had Bock in the back and Staker in the forward but they've both gone down with injuries so I brought in Mayes and Goodes just for that screenshot. If Staker is named for round 1, he'll definitely be put back in. I'll look into Stevenson too :)

Think Staker only had a bit of cartilage taken out from his knee nothing too serious I believe and by all reports should be good to go

I thrust my team upon the good judges of BigFooty to cast ye peepers over my latest inclination of my ever changing squad.

I've gone for a side that is a little different from the norm for a few various reasons.

Like always rookies are subject to change based on NAB form have been picked here to suit the end purpose that I'm hoping to employ

You must have a fair bit of cash left over?

I count only 13 premiums ('set and forget') starting. In the past, I've aimed at starting with 14-15.
Meh, if you back your lower pricers to flourish or do well, then 30 trades is enough to kit you out with a full compliment of premiums by finals time. (Barring injuries, suspensions and machette attacks)

Meh, if you start with 13 premiums and I start with 15, and given that we both have the same number of trades, I think you're playing catch-up Supercoach ;)

great looking team :) similar to mine, only thing is ive gone for varcoe over bundy and would use the extra cash to upgrade yarran, i think varcoe will have a big year and increase in value nicely and his score combined with premo back would do better than bundy and yarran, ive also gone for chappy over stevie j, just think hes primed for a big year

Thanks for that B2C
My thinking with Bundy also applies to Trav so I might make the move there. 4-5 year players who could have big years.
With SJ I just think he is going to spend more time in the mid field and will get more of the ball than he has in the past just playing as a HFF.
NAB form will make the ultimate decisions

Can you afford the top 15 most expensive players?
I've been working through combinations and if you go for the top 6 to 8 players you can fit 13 max maybe 14 but with 14+ you have bottom price rookies who are unlikely to generate heaps of cash and you will be stuck.

If you go down to sub premiums but not mid price the gamble is they don't increase output and the top rookies will come close to their scores but generate much more cash.

Yeah, I'll agree to that. If your choices are astute, the squad you end up with is pretty bloody snazzy!:thumbsu:
But, as we know, its the rookies you chose, not the top liners that makes or breaks a squad in this crazy game!;)

Thoughts???
Impressive team, just one piece of advice. You might wanna trade Joe Daniher as he's not expected to get into the Bomber's 22 straight up, maybe not for half the year or so. A trade for Sam Mayes, Josh Simpson, Tim Membrey or even Brent Staker will guarantee you some points. And you should consider upgrading Cotchin for someone like D. Beams, you've got the cash left over. Just my suggestion.
