This game has prime time free to air and we have pay tv crap time.

After downloading calendar to i calendar and then looking at fixture I realise just how terrible our game times are. For a side that finished in the eight it is bloody disgraceful.

Linnaeus I have merged your thread because I am not sure that we needed 2 and the issues are kinda related.

I am sure that if you did a search you you find a thread with heaps of complaints from when the fixture was first released.

This years fixture should be decent commercially for us. Its a big boys draw so we make finals and no one will be able to say it was done on anything but talent.

Exactly. Demetrious greasy fangs are all over this like a cheap rash. The riding was on the wall when we were given a cheque for $1million as hash money and then told to keep quiet about it. Well I for one won't be silenced. Last time I checked, we live in a democratic republic.

Yep, our first half schedule is complete garbage. 4 of the first 11 games on Tv, all vs interstate teams (Swans, Eagles, Crows and GC).

It is not good enough to fling us a few extra bucks compensation, the club has to make sure we get on FTA or we are ****ed. Our games vs Collingwood, Geelong, Hawthorn not on TV but these other games are? How is our commercial department meant to get corporate sponsorship and advertising with thoee games or growing our supporter base.

It is disappointing. They keep putting interstat teams on TV here in Melbourne and don't play games vs two Victorian clubs.

Piss poor when you line it up against teams who are around the same position as us ladder/potential wise.

I am spewing the game is on Easter Sunday at 4.40 living 3 hours from Melb. I don't give a shit about FTA...Foxtel is worth it's weight in gold...but the draw is shit.

I really can't afford fox but it is getting to the stage where you don't have much choice. Given that the alternative is to watch at the pub I probably spend more. Collingwood had a lot of Sunday games as I recall this year, I look forward to the AFL's response to the thousands of complaints from a team with cash and see how they justify the past explanation to us. J.B has accepted the get better results get better time slots too easily in the past.
