Ferrer wins 7-6, 6-4. I know people are going to get excited over this one but Rafa was poor tonight, surely will be playing better come RG time.
Could this year be the year Nadal has a less than stellar run in the clay court season? Huge amount of points to defend in the next couple of months.

Over best of 5 sets at Roland Garros will be a different story, does turn up the notch on the intrigue meter as far as the clay season goes.

Really enjoying this match, Fed's had 13 break points and has not converted one.

Great performance by Stan, especially in the first set. Can see fed beating smoko as well, he has had a pretty soft draw to make it through to the semis.

Yeah, looks like he'll take a longer rest. Plenty of time until the RG, so I expect a full recovery, considering it's nothing too serious.

To be fair, Wawrinka stunk it up after the OZ Open. Two early exits in the US and an embarrassing loss in the Davis Cup, Now he has his mojo back and I was surprised how well he played on clay.

Some of the tennis played early in the 3rd from Stan was pretty good. His game is well suited to the clay so he could do very well this season.
He beat Fed at Monte Carlo a few years back, in his only other victory over him. Stan now 6-0 against Top 10 opponents this season. He did have a poor American swing, but hopefully this gives him confidence for the rest of the clay court season. Would love it if he won the FO as well.

As would I. After the crap that got slung at him after his "undeserved" Australian Open win I'd love to see him stick it right up them and bring another grand slam home. I'll be rooting for him.
