thought I'd start a new thread for anyone interested in sharing some tips :thumbsu:

Collingwood v Fremantle am already liking the over 172.5 total match points if Reid doesn't play, Freo have trouble scoring but Sandilands is going to monster Grundy giving their mids first use to hopefully add plenty of inside 50's resulting in scoreboard pressure.

You got smashed last year Bobby.

Care to advise how you finished? That way people know what to avoid or otherwise :)

come on man! Give me a bit of credit, I'm not that bad :p
(give me 2 weeks to blow it all please)

my home laptop doesnt allow me to use the smilie's, otherwise you would have gotten 2-3.

you could drag it out over 20 weeks with a fiver for one game or multi.

You're basically put the pies down to A) win and B) score more than a 100 points cause freo sure as shit won't.

Pies should win. But will be a flogging. I can see Freo really not being turned on for this one.

Haven’t posted on this forum for a long time now but seeing I’m a punter I’m keen to follow this thread.

I will actually list my bets every week so you can follow my progress, I will start with a bank of $100 and have a couple of bets per round, approximately 50 bets for the whole season. Every bet I will have my whole bank on it so no room for errors, one loss will wipe me out. My aim is to win around 10% of my bank with every bet.

I know I’ll have knockers and doubters but I know what I’m capable of, so if anyone wants to follow my progress, you’re welcomed to. Input is also most welcomed.

For round 1 I’m looking at 2 of the following bets, but will wait for final teams to be announced, will also take into account weather and a few other things before placing bets. All 3 are paying around $1.10 which is the 10% I’m after.
In the Geelong vs Adelaide game i can't see us beating Adelaide by more than 58.5 points, the North Melbourne vs Essendon game i couldn't see North loosing by more than 30.5 points and the Hawthorn vs Brisbane game the Hawks would have to win by more than 4.5 points. Will finalize my bets later on in the week.

Geelong vs Adelaide
Pick Your Own Line: Adelaide +58.5 points

North Melbourne vs Essendon
Pick Your Own Line: North Melbourne +30.5 points

Hawthorn vs Brisbane
Pick Your Own Line: Hawthorn -4.5 points

Thats lunacy.

20% of bank is plenty.
100% is dumb.

Money management in gambling is very important and something i recommend every gambler should do..

However this is more of a challenge which i also did last year with great success, family and friends were witness to it in 2013 but this year everyone who wants to follow can be witness to it.

You might call it dumb but i'm only risking $100 which i can very well afford to lose, but that's if i loose..

gonna start with a parlay, Chicago v Houston tomorrow in the NBA, Joakim Noah over 11.5 rebounds + Collingwood +26.5 points which pays $2.60.
$30 on that multi to kick things off.

Anyone going to back the Dockers?

$30 on Dockers -12.5 @ $2.10 :)

Not into Basketball but i think that Collingwood at +26.5 will be touch and go as i expect Freo to come out firing. Anyway all the best with it..

I'm kicking off with Gold Coast +52.5 for my 10% bet. Gold Coast's biggest loosing margin at Metricon last year was 42 points to Freo, their biggest loosing margin all year was inflicted by us at Simmonds which was 52 points. Richmond have only beaten them once and that was by 9 points, so Gold Coast at +52.5 points seems a safe enough bet.

Starting Bank: $100.00

Gold Coast Vs Richmond
Gold Coast +52.5 @ $1.10
$100.00 for a return of $110.00

I'm putting $30 on Freo -12.5 points, reckon it's a tight contest all match long but Walters and Mayne will pop up in the final quarter.

Good luck on the Suns, I reckon Suns have a really good chance of winning that game. Risking $100 to make $10 isn't much though, you should even look at the tigers 1-39 as Suns will be running our games this year.

I know $100 to make $10 is not much but my aim is to keep having my whole bank on every bet and to increase my bank by 10% per bet.. Last year i turned my $100 into just under $11000.00.. 1-39 the Tigers is probably the logical bet for this game but that's too risky for what i want to achieve.

I could never bet like that.
And you'd hate what I did in 08 Carl.

It came down to the last multi of the weekend.
Essendon were playing WC.
Essendon were heavy favourites. If they win, I get 12k.

I had 40 minutes to decide if I would lay off. 3k on West Coast would have meant I'd win 8k no matter what.

I was completely torn.
Didn't do it. Bombers got done.

And it cost me about 4k during the year as I was spooked and kept laying off. Never happened to me again.

Also had 4k on Pakistan in the test they threw in Sydney.
Should have won more than 30k that year. Won 15.

By the way, it's losing. Not loosing.

That's unlucky VC, think i may have went the safe option and chased the 8k.. I had a feature double going in the Blue Diamond with Rubick for a bit and ended up laying off, glad i did cause i would have bombed out..

I don't know if my luck can hold out again this year but i'm going to give it my best, it's not bad at the start of the year but gets a little scary when you start having bets of 5k and above..

GWS total goals over 9.5 points @ $1.84.

$50 on this one, home environment and the weather forecast says should be all good until the latter stages of the match. Be mighty close but Sydney will start a little slow this year and Giants should put up 11-13 goals :thumbsu:
