Could it perhaps go like this? (from all rumours) - Basing this on if Lions trade pick 5 for Beams, GWS trade pick 4 and a player/s (O'Rourke/Jaksch) for Pick 1 and Melbourne keep picks 2 and 3 (3 being for Frawley compo which is a disgrace yes).

1. GWS - Petracca
2. Melbourne - Brayshaw
3. Melbourne - McCartin
4. StKilda - Ahern
5. Collingwood - Laverde
6. Western Bulldogs - Wright

Apparently saints really keen on Ahern, Pies won't take two KPP in the top 10. I honestly have the feeling saints are keen to bolster their midfield first in the 'rebuild' stage and would be keen to see how White/Stanley/Lee goes in 2015 and will draft a mid. Would obviously need everything to go right for Wright to get to 6. Dees could also go Brayshaw/Laverde or Brayshaw/Ahern which would make things interesting!

Thoughts?

If Collingwood get Mitch Clark this may certainly happen, issue is it will take more than an O'Rourke/Jaksch + pick 4 for GWS to get the saints first pick. I don't any of us can really say that we have a fair idea as to what will happen this offseason. 24 hours ago I don't think anyone could of seen Beams walking out on the pies when he recently bought a house in Melbourne.

I would not be supprised in the slightest if the dogs make a play for pick 2-3 as well as having pick 6. If minson and wood and higgans goes stay tuned......

And how exactly would we get pick 2 or 3 without trading pick 6?? By trading Minson, Wood and/or Higgins?? No chance!

Someone mention on facebook that Foster just left the club.

I reckon he was doing medical or just abit of testing.

I reckon if Collingwood end up with pick 5 they will be trying hard to package it up for pick 1 or 2. Not sure who they've got to trade, but if there last couple of draft/trade periods are anything to go by it will be something ridiculous like 5 & Lumumba for pick 2.

Wright still hasn't worked out how to use his size yet, one of the knocks I have on him. Seen him live on 4 occasions and there's only been one mark and goal that I can recall that was because of his size advantage.

Athletically he seems more then capable of playing as a leading CHF in the AFL in my opinion. Seems a bit quicker then someone like Tom Lynch from the Gold Coast and has a similar level of endurance. Don't think he's got his level of aggression though.
I'd say that we could teach him to use his body when we get him to the club- but we haven't been able to teach Jones so who knows.

Any chance Wright becomes a gut running, repeat leading, 2 meter tall Nick Riewoldt with a straight kick? Or am I dreaming too much?

Well he has a 15 beep test already, so there is a great chance he will run all day.

They have Bellchambers and Daniher
Daniher's a full forward and he was shit when forced to chop out in the ruck this year.

I'm not interested in dealing with them, at all, but they could certainly use some ruck depth.

Ok its looking like we should do this

Delist/retire Trade

Williams Cooney pick 26-Hawthorn and pick 17
Goodes
Young
Howard

Draft
Pick 6 -Wright

Pick 17-Menadue
Pick 43-Cordy
Pick 61-Jong

Its looking like Port are going to trade pick 16 for Ryder. I am all for trading Cooney though.

I don't think it will Dogsman, I think that's what St Kilda will ask for... O'Rouke is a serious talent in my book...

Just looking through lists and names, hieghts and wieght. DOes anybody know anything about Jesse Watchman? 196cm 90kg at 18 is more to my liking. Personally i am in favor of a 196ish heavy set, ala DUnstall, or muscular like Bazza over your kirk tippet types, which is what Wright seems to be.
Dunstall was Mitch Hahn's height: Brereton was even shorter

I do really hope Wright is strongly considered by the doggies! Is there anything on concrete that anyone has heard that we are fair dinkum on this fella because i know last year it was very storngly tipped we where chasing bonti....Fingers crossed we go this way...

O'Rourke/Jaksch and Pick 4 for Pick 1 is more than fair. Agreed. Both young talents and they will grab Ahern/McCartin at pick 4 too.

I dont see melbourne retaining both picks to be honest.
Roos was happy to take Tyson and Pick 9 for pick 2 last year.
I reckon they will look for a very similar deal giving up the frawley compo for a player and a later first rounder.

The word I have heard on Wright - One from someone associated with the AIS academy and another from a non-bulldog club scout...

Both said he has potential but will not be an immediate fix for anyone as he needs to learn how to use his body.
Has a big body but doesnt really play like it at the moment. One of them thought he was too robotic in nature to be a permanent forward,
and like others have said possibly is more of a Tippett, Jenkins type of player. Both have said he has Casbolt like hands at times.

Wright up forward is definitely the run all day lead up CHF. He isn't great at contested grabs but his running patterns are fantastic and he uses his arm length out front to take his marks. I think it'd take him a couple of preseasons to get his skin folds down and to learn to use his height to give him more advantage in contested marks. He'll definitely fit the mould of a CHF though.

Wood, Jones, pick 25 and 26 for pick 3? Take Wright and Lever and be done with it!
