Here you go guys: http://www.afl.com.au/ladder/ladder-predictor

I have predicted a very, very close top 6 with percentage playing a vital role in determining the final ladder positions.

Assuming there are no upsets for the rest of season (eg. West Coast beating Sydney) we can't drop a single game for the rest of the year if we want a top 4 placing, I know very hard.

Our season starts next Saturday night, C'mon boys!!!

Not going to happen unfortunately.

Going to have to be the first team to win it from 8th position

I do have us going on a 10 game winning streak if we beat Geelong next week.

Danger games in that run (after Geelong of course) are Tigers at the 'G and the Derby. All the rest we will go in clear favourites.

14 and 4 and then anything can happen.

Wow, well we made top 4 last year with 5.5 losses and Sydney did so with 6.5 losses. As stated previously, we could lose two more games this season and still make top 4. Potentially lose 3 more if top 8 sides lose any games they were suppose to win.

Geez Norf have an easy draw.

Our draw is pretty creamy after the bye to be fair. It really sucks at the moment but we have had a really hard start to the year with loads of injury/suspensions. To have won half of them is not a write off. At least it gets easier after next week and our team will only get stronger.

Better to hit the finals out of the 4 but in scary form but limp into the 4 and get smashed by Hawthorn

I like the fact everyone is just assuming we'll go on a massive winning streak against the (apparent) bottom 8-10.

At the very worst we'll make the finals and get bundled out first round. Im expecting a 4th to 6th placing though, which would require 10-12 wins out of 14 of which we are very capable of doing given our draw. Make 4th and as long as we're not playing Hawthorn I would be extremely confident of getting another home prelim.

It is the ladder predictor thread afterall. Also on current form we will be favourites in the vast proportion of those games. Doesn't mean we'll win them all of course.

Whats your thoughts on our next 10 or so games?

I'm very disappointed where we sit but for some reason I'm pretty confident we will come good. It's not like we have our best 22 out there. We have some quality in the twos.

Remember 2012/2013 our second half of the year was scary good.

Would love to see Mora, Simpson, Apeness and Sylvia and Keps all on soon ;) plenty of options then

Geelong (H) - Win
Bulldogs (A) - Win
Crows (H) - Win
Richmond (A) - 60/40
Lions (H) - Win
Eagles (H) - Win
Melbourne (A) - Win
GWS (H) - Win
St Kilda (A) - Win
Carlton (H) - Win
Geelong (A) - 40/60
Hawthorn (H) -50/50
Lions (A) - Win
Port (H) - Win

Likely Wins for 2014: 15 -17

Will we ever see a team make a GF from outside top 4 let alone win it in our lifetimes?

You guys will likely ride the momentum of a mid season winning streak and beat Hawthorn and Port at home (not sure about Geelong away but if you can beat them in a final there then why can't you win in a normal game?).

I'd say winning next week is so very important.

We seem to always cop injuries to 3-4 players a week before we play Geelong in Geetroit and end up getting pounded. Hopefully this year we get a bit of luck on our sides and don't have to resort to sending Peel Thunder over.

I am expecting that we finish somewhere between 5-8th. Port, Hawks, Geelong and Sydney to be top four. Us, Norf, Collingwood and maybe GC or Essendon to make up the rest of the 8. I really hope we don't lose against Richmond in Melbourne yet again. If we do on top of losses to either Hawks/Geelong/Port then there is absolutely no way we'll make top 4.

Not sure next week is a pencilled-in win (sadly), but otherwise you sound pretty spot on. Simply must must must win next week. The after bye run will look much rosier with a 5-4 record. Lose and Richmond, Derby, Port etc. all look much much more ominous.

If so, you'd doubt it'd be an interstate team, given all the traveling required and short 6 day breaks.

optimistic but possible

I like the fact everyone is just assuming we'll go on a massive winning streak against the (apparent) bottom 8-10.

The form we're in currently there's no doubt in my mind we'd drop at least a couple of them, really all depends on whether we can defeat Geelong and be chock full of confidence heading into the break.

Do that, get some senior players back and it's very possible. Gee Saturday is big (for the millionth time).

The worst thing is that missing the top 4 is essentially a huge failure of a season for us because it's close to impossible for a WA team to win the flag from outside the 4.

Without changing the margin I guessed the rest of the year (only 1 more loss to Geelong Away).

History shows this won't play out like this but it's clear to see a bottle neck of side in the Top 8 while the bottom is fairly spread out.
% is going to play a big part of the make up of the top 8 sides.

Can't remember the last time that you needed 17 wins to finish top 4 let alone to have 17 wins and only finish 6th

Why can't i find the ladder predictor under Fixtures and results(on the afl web site).
It's probably not been released properly yet, still has "2013" showing in the link from the OP although it's this years ladder. Some venues don't show up so it still may be under construction and they haven't put a link up yet.

I'm hoping we ride the wave created by Pav's 300th and hit our straps. Although given that Ballantyne is apparently gone and Dawson, McPharlin and Hill are struggling, I'm pretty pessimistic.

On paper we'll be favourites for most of those games, but I've no doubt we'll drop one or two. Top 4 isn't out of reach by any stretch, but a lot has to go right from this week onwards.
