2014 Puma Range

The green is bloody horrible, at least they will be sure that nobody will buy them

Not sure why there is so much hate. The green guernseys could likely be for the development players to distinguish players. It isnt an onfield guernsey so dont need to get your knickers in a knot. As long as we got our blue, red and gold hoops on the home guernsey im happy!

To be honest, I would never wear Crows gear outside of match day or to a mates place for footy bbq's anyway, no matter how it looks. Perhaps that's just me though.

Extremely keen on the navy/red training guernsey. Need a new singlet so I may as well get one AFC related. Potentially stupid question BUT: is there a sizing chart that states the measurements of a small size? I'm a gentleman of the short and slim variety so just wanting to make sure the small one isn't too big:p.

I don't think its that. No one would care if the players were wearing them for that reason. It's more that they bother trying to sell it to us rather than come up with other stuff.

The entire range looks amateurish, I really can't believe that it is the official 2014 range. Where is the filter in the club's marketing department that prevents the release of this?

As for the pricing, they have lost the plot. If they expect to drive 2014 sales of overpriced poor quality merchandise with a giant weird looking raven, good luck to them.

Regardless of that shitty green colour, they need to stop enlarging the bird head logo in their clothing and merchandise. It just doesn't look right. The shape of the logo itself doesn't work well on clothes but it's tolerable enough if you shrink it down like in the Polo shirt design's.

Also keep thinking this would have been a better choice for a white away guernsey.

Apparently we have sold over 1 million in merchandising this year? Not sure on the time frame but apparently it's our best ever

Chapman mentioned it on FiveAA. I wonder if we are actually selling more items, or the prices have just been going up.

People had to sell their bock jumper to buy a Davis jumper then had to sell it to buy a gunston jumper then had to sell that for a Kurt jumper.

Media polos, home jumper and training singlets are all fine IMO.

You reckon? I'm sure you'd find them in promotional gear catalogs (excluding the raptor logo and badges). The kind of catalogs businesses buy personalised clothes from and then stitch on logos.

The thing is they are fine as media polos, training guernseys etc. and if I am ever representing the club in the media or training with them I'll be sure to put one on.

It's the lack of stuff available for everyone else that's the problem.

I really don't see the problem in any of these. In fact they're quite good. I purchased the 2013 version of the media polo and training shirt (third image) and the quality of the material was fine.

The designs are fairly simple, and it doesn't need to be over complicated.

Clash guernsey, horrible. Training guernsey, even more horrid. But I'm satisfied with the rest.

That's the problem. Satisfaction is not enough.

I want something that makes me throw money at the club and something I want to wear in public, not just to games.

To be honest, I don't mind it. Its a point of difference. Its a training top. Who cares.

Who cares?

I care. It's not just this one guernsey, it's the ongoing failings of the marketing department at our club. I want to see as many supporters wearing AFC merchandise as possible. I want the AFC to be rolling in cash. This is a massive untapped resource.

Yep I don't care what the players train in, the media polos are appropriate for the players to wear in the media. I want stuff that I can wear. I wouldn't wear anything the club sells unless I would wear the same item if it wasn't Crows branded.

Truely horrible. Maybe I'm just not the market for onfield AFL gear. Why even sell half of that stuff. Save it for the team. Training top and footy shorts... great for a Halloween costume maybe haha. Especially the training gear ($119.99 for a guernsey!), never see anyone wearing it and with the only other option being a polo shirt think I will give it all a miss.

The thing is sports gear as everyday clothing hasn't been popular for a decade +. I get people seeing the players wearing it and buying it... sort of, certain people look up to sports people and want to be like them, but in this day and age with Instagram/Twitter etc. we are exposed to the players daily. Why not sell clothes that the players would actually chose to wear rather than what they are forced to wear when on the team bus.

I put this photo in the off field revenue thread (sorry for the re-post but this will probably be the merchandise thread now). Some are just modifications and remakes of other tops from the best selling area of popular websites. But wanted to show that our colours don't suck, they just have to be used differently.

Would love for the club to team up with someone to create some stuff people can wear in settings other than at the game. I think it all ties in with the direction the club is trying to go if you think about the people games in the city, Thursday nights, new generation of players coming through, young coach etc. Also having a retail store in the city some more wearable items could attract the casual shopper as well as the member specifically seeking club gear.

But that is just my thoughts and in the clubs defense Puma were apparently very happy with them as the club sold a million dollars of merchandise for the year.

Ok so I've looked at the official Puma gear and to be honest it is rat shit. Bloody pathetic. How many times do Puma need to get their logo on the gear? Do we get any say in what our gear is, because this stuff is crap.

The clothing above is 1000000000 times better. Seriously it's like our club don't actually like our members, don't want us wearing the gear and want to hide quietly in the shade and hope no-one notices us.
Have some balls club!!
