Speed speed and more speed has been the focus for my draft and it continues with my final live pick of the draft as I select

Ed Langdon 182cm 72kg Forward

Langdon has had a bit of an interrupted season with injury which has seen him slide down the order as being the brother of Pies defender Tom he'd have been on the radar of recruiters entering the season. As mentioned he has missed a lot of the year with injury but still managed 3 games for Vic Metro averaging 11 disposals 2 goals 4 marks 4 tackles & 1 clearance a game. Langdon is a smart quick thinking HF who either kicks goals or sets them up with quality ball use.

No dick Tiger71 is up again. Lets see how he stuffs up Essendon again.

I am going the safe path that the Essendon recruiter went down to fill the void of Ryder leaving. We choose Brock McClean. Having both him and coony together just feels right

#72. Fremantle Matt Goodyear (VIC – Mid)
Height: 185cm, Weight: 77kg, DOB: 20/07/1996

Goodyear spent much of 2014 with Cannons coach Andrew Jago developing a balance to his overall game, enhancing his ability to play as an inside midfielder. Averages 21.3 disposals per game from his 15 appearances, including featuring in the bests 10 times, as he did much of the grunt and clearance work in the centre of the ground.

Goodyear was rewarded with the opportunity to represent Vic Metro in 2014 and he didn’t disappoint in his first game, racking up 23 disposals, nine contested possessions, seven inside 50’s, and five clearances in his first outing against Vic Country, second only in output behind the highly rated Angus Brayshaw

What you’ll get with Goodyear is a versatile, elite handballing, ball winning midfielder with the ability to play both inside and outside, and with the ability to provide bursts of speed for four quarters of football

#13 - Paul Ahern 181cm 77kg Midfielder
#34 - Tyler Keitel 194cm 86kg KPD
#54 - Sam Bevan 195cm 80kg KPD
#72 - Matt Goodyear 185cm 77kgs Midfielder

There is just 1 other player i have in my mind and hope none of you leeches get your hands on him

Write up c/o Paige Cardona

Pick 74: Nth Melbourne – Dan Butler Position: Midfielder/forward
Height: 181 cm, Weight: 79 kg, DOB: 03/06/1996
Club: North Ballarat Rebels
Projected draft range: 50-rookie
Plays like: Ollie Wines

A really exciting player from the Rebels who came home with a wet sail, Dan Butler’s draft stocks are rising since averaging 16.8 disposals and almost a goal a game this season. Butler, who is a quick thinking, goal-kicking midfielder, starred on the MCG for St Patrick’s College in the Herald Sun Shield, looking more than comfortable running amok on the MCG turf. He is one of the highest averaging TAC Cup players for handball receives (5.5), underlining his endurance and ability to stamp his influence on a game. A high volume tackler who is as vicious as he is reckless, Butler recorded a whopping 17 tackles against Oakleigh Chargers just prior to representing Vic Country in the championships. He averages 8.1 tackles and 2.7 marks per game, and is a wrecking ball in close who has a big ceiling in terms of his development and his relentless pursuit of excellence.

Pick 75 Daniel Neilson

Position: Key defender
Height: 193 cm, Weight: 90 kg

Port could use with a developing KPD I took the gamble of picking Caleb Daniel in round 2 and im pretty happy with Neilson at round 3.
Write up from Paige Cordona

One of the more underrated key defenders available in this year’s draft. Daniel Nielson is your typical close-checking defender with the ability to stop key forwards dead in their tracks. He plays a heavy negating role, and whilst he isn’t a big ball winner, he has exceptional closing speed and long limbs that allow him to spoil or take defensive marks. He’s quite combative in his role while also demonstrating an ability to judge the flight of the ball well, and has been an anchor in defence for the Ranges all season. He takes good defensive marks and isn’t afraid to use the ball by foot with his kicking efficiency above average for key talls. He has quite good agility, and often is the start of a chain of possession that result in a score at the other end.

Possibly a KPP rather than a ruck.
