If Russian isn't online to say otherwise, then I suggest we start the 24 hour pick time limit for this draft at 6pm Monday 14th March, 1 week later than the intended schedule. From page one of this thread:

13) Pre-season draft picks are due 24 hours after the previous pick or 6pm March 7 6pm March 14, whichever is later. All players with salaries listed are dropped back to minimum salaries, and autopicks are from oldest to youngest of these players if you can afford the extra $42k, or from the top of the list if you can't. The only exception is if you redraft your own contracted delisted player - in this case the player will return to his existing contract. Passes are not allowed in the PSD. You may use your pick to permanently promote one of your rookies on a draftee/minimum contract, but will not receive any additional pre-season rookie draft picks even if that frees up enough space for one.
14) At the conclusion of the PSD, any pre-season rookie draft picks that no longer fit within a team's cap will be autopassed.
15) Pre-season rookie draft picks are due 24 hours after the previous pick or 48 hours after the last PSD pick, whichever is later. There are no autopicks.


After these drafts finish, the preason competition winners draft can begin, with the draft order to be finalised after this week's games.

Go for it. 24 hour limits don't apply yet so no one can get timed out.

I don't think Russian would have any issue with us beginning the draft now in his absence, as if we don't begin now we will be cutting it very fine.

By the way, minimum salaries are 121/152/182/212/242, so if you are picking a player with a contracted number next to their name then make sure you have enough room in your cap to pick them under minimum salary conditions.
 
FWIW, I think gym4life is the only person who can afford to pick one of those previously drafted players (with a contract amount next to name).

Yeah it's a bit tricky to read, but from my understanding of it the players with a contract amount next to their name drop down to minimum salary level (121/152/182/212/242), everyone else is draft pick salary level ($79K for pre-season draft, $58K for pre-season rookie draft)

Yup, so does everyone else in the pre season draft except for gym4life. Pretty much means you have to select an AFL rookie listed player, which most people had to do at the end of the AFLTM draft anyway. In the rookie draft the salaries for the players not striked out reduce to $58K making them available to all teams picking in that draft.

One catch - I screwed up the spreadsheet and Gippsland had 4 more rookies than they should.

The fix I had worked out but not posted before I went AWOL is:
1) Gippsland must delist 2 of their remaining rookies, they keep 1 as a replacement for Marcon and 1 as a bonus rookie
2) The delisted rookies go back in the pool at the start of the rookie draft
3) Everyone else gets a bonus rookie to match Gippsland's at the end of the remaining rookie picks

Since there are so many unrookieable players, the PSD prize draft should mostly be able to run in parallel with the rookie draft.

24 hours has passed for gym4life. I think as per rules (as it is the last pick in the PSD) he gets an autopick for the oldest eligible player - I believe that is Nathan Grima.

Continstar has until Thursday 6pm to make his first selection in the Rookie Draft.
