BTW - the 25 grid position penalty for Button turned into a 10 second stop/go penalty according to the rules because Button qualified 17th for the race. He dropped 3 places to 20th on the grid and therefore had 22 grid positions outstanding and got the 10 second stop/go penalty according to the following rule:

Remainder of grid penalty Race penalty
1-5 places Five-second time penalty
6-10 places Ten-second time penalty
11-20 places Drive-through penalty
20 or more places Ten second stop-go penalty

The drive-through penalty and ten second stop-go penalty cannot be served whilst doing your normal pitstop although the five and ten second penalties can.

That is why Ricciardo took a five second penalty during his pit stop. Ricciard qualified 14th and had a 10 position engine related grid penalty (6 position drop leaves 4 outstanding, which resulted in the 5 second penalty)
