There a possibility of rain during FP1 and FP2, with the weather clearing for the weekend. Sunday's forecast is looking to be the best of the 3 days. The variable weather could make tyre decisions a little more interesting. The tyre choice is the same as last year (medium/hard) due to the high speed corners.

and wet to start FP2 - they're saying there's a 60% change of more rain during the session. It's going to be a busy FP3 tomorrow....

inters though to start the session, compared to full wets for most of FP1

Hard to get a proper read on pace with the conditions today, but the Red Bulls matching the Mercedes in P2
Hopefully we can get another competitive race rather than a return to the same old
I suspect if the track dries off, the Mercs will disappear into the sunset. If it's wet... Well, that's the variable that could produce close racing. That said, the Mercs still dominated last year in the wet.

Tend to think this may be the case. I still do find it strange that Mercedes were so far off the pace in Singapore given their dominance at every other track. I get that power at Singapore is over-rated, but Mercedes still have a pretty good Aero setup

Their advantage has been significantly lessened since the new tyre pressure regulations came in.
