Injury 2015 Injury Update Thread

I thought I would do this so we can keep tabs on players and given our past history of losing players to injuries preseason.

Maybe mods could make this a sticky? Drugs Are Bad Mackay?

Having failed to qualify for this year's finals campaign, all players who have had post-season surgery other than Andy Otten are likely be ready to start the pre-season on time. After having his right knee reconstructed late in the season, Otten then had a clean out of his right knee. The club's leading goalkicker Eddie Betts had a minor procedure on his hip in early September, while Scott Thompson and Daniel Talia had small operations on their knees. Defender Sam Shaw had an operation to help fix his troublesome hamstring while fellow defender Sam Siggins had surgery on his wrist in late August. Head of football David Noble said he hoped the entire squad – minus Otten – would be fit to start training on time in early November.

Geez I hope this thread is dead, a poor preseason means writing off another year. Its just too hard to have a good year without a solid preseason.

As you said, I hope it is one of the most useless empty threads going around, as it will pave the path for hopefully a good 2015 season.

Sadly we will have to be on "Danger Watch" for the International Rules in regards to injuries. Sure you can injure yourself anywhere and anytime but these matches have a bit of heat and spite in them. Im not a fan at all of them and will only be reading reports to check if Danger is ok.

I saw a photo of him being used for the series, I just presumed he is playing. It would be really shit if he was, having played especially the latter half of the season from all reports injured.

Is there any other Crows player in this useless pathetic joke of a series? For the record, I could respect if it was a State of Origin series, but I struggle to comprehend the value of this series from a fans point of view. I think from memory Betts played last year.

Im just tired of losing players to injury, it would be nice for the players to get the rest for their body before even by Walshy's comments will be a tough preseason.

Eddie Betts good to go. Had a chat with him on top of Mt Lofty on Tuesday. Limping, but ran most the way. Not a bad effort for a guy a few weeks out of hip surgery!

The show will be aired on Channel 9 on November 23 and 30.

I can only presume that Danger is fully fit and injury free now.

Hmmm how a single letter can make the difference between missing a few week versus a year. AC or ACL.
