I think there is a semi-reasonable chance that Djokovic will win all 4 majors this year

Tipsaravic will retire after attempting a comeback and re-aggravating

Nadal will finish second and silence his doubters - again

Fed still up there leading somewhat of a serve/volley, chip n charge revival.

Raonic will level out.

Posposil will have a strong year

Predictions:

- Fed to win Wimbledon one last time
- Djokovic to continue as No.1 throughout the year, winning Roland Garros and one of the hardcourt slams.
- Nadal to be slamless but still obivously be up there
- Someone different again for the other one
- Dimitrov to solidfy a spot in the top 10, Cilic and Raonic I think may have trouble matching their 2014.

My expectation/ goals for the Aussies:

- Hewitt - Will be trying all he can to help win this DC tie in Czech in Feb, apart from that, there really isn't any expectations on him anymore, he's blown his chance for one more GS QF. Look forward to watching what is left of his career.
- Kyrgios - I'm going to try and not put a number on it, really the main thing is stay healthy and the results will come, the game and mind is there but whether the body is the question.
- Tomic - Who knows
- Matosevic - Make or break year I think for Marinko, I'm very curious to see how he comes out this summer, I think he will want to get top 50 and even try and win a 250 title, he won't do it but he has to be setting high goals this year.
- Groth - Partnered with Butorac after the Aussie summer which is a good choice, he could make a very nice career in doubles, personally I think he's maxxed out as far as singles go, his ground game isn't good enough but if he schedules right and wins matches here and there he really should be able to stay in the top 100.
- Duckworth - Top 100. Has to be.
- Kokkansis - Also Top 100 and just get stronger, he had some nice results in 2014, the fact he is qualfying for Masters 1000 events is impressive and really should be getting to that 50-60 range if he stays healthy.
- Millman - Biggest opporunity to get to top 100, no points to defend in 6 months, if the results keep coming he'll fall into t, let's hope he stay healthy, he was so close last time.

- Stosur - Better than 2014, I'm hoping that won't be hard. Just believing in her abilities...
- Dellacqua - Very had to match last year but she'll be seeded at AO so that's the first bunch of points she needs to defend, her main goal is to win a WTA title and I agree that should be it.
- Finding someone to take over when these two retire?

Aus Open - Djokovic
French Open - Nadal
Wimbledon - Djokovic
US Open - Murray

Top 4 will stay the same with Fed making the semi at all opens

Nadal to make the Wimbledon final and lose an epic In 5 then miss the US Open with injury

Murray to struggle but win the US Open against Nishikori or Berdych

Tomic to finish the year higher then Kyrgios

- Kyrgios - I'm going to try and not put a number on it, really the main thing is stay healthy and the results will come, the game and mind is there but whether the body is the question.

I think they are inter related with Kyrgios. When he's injured, he seems to like making a scene about it. Also, his several on-court tanties in his short career don't bode well.

I'll try with the women's side of things.

Australian Open: Caroline Wozniacki
French Open: Anastasia Pavlyochenkova
Wimbledon: Agniszka Radwanska
US Open: Simona Halep

Serena Williams to retire after getting knocked out in the first round of the US Open while making an excuse for losing.
Sam Stosur to get back into the top 10, making the quarters or semis in every slam.
Simona Halep to get into the final for the French and Wimbledon to become #1 in the world
Eugenie Bouchard to drop in the rankings to about 12th
Casey Dellacqua to win 2 tour events and get into the top 20.
Rodianova sisters both to finish in the top 100 by the end of the year.

These are pretty terrible predictions if I have to be honest. Sam Stosur will make it to top 10 - yeah, nah.

Serena, being the absolute champion she is, will win the US Open and finish number 1.
Stosur to fall outside top 30 with talk of retirement after US Open after relentless harrasment by the Australian media for choking over and over.
Halep will have a strong year, but definitely not number 1, with the likes of Serena and Sharapova still around.
Agree with Bouchard.
Azarenka will have a very strong year.
Dellacqua will struggle to move from 30-40. Tough ask to defend her Aus Open points yet alone do more than that.
Wozniacki will be top 5
Radwanska will fall - there is only so much her crafty, but powerless game can do, even though I love the way she plays.

I hope you're right re. Wozniacki to win the Aus Open. I got on her at $15 the other day!

I'm looking forward to bumping this thread in 11 months time.

ATP
1) Novak DJOKOVIC
2) Rafael NADAL
3) Roger FEDERER
4) Kei NISHIKORI
5) Stanislav WAWRINKA
6) Andy MURRAY
7) Grigor DIMITROV
8) Milos RAONIC
9) Jo WILFRED TSONGA
10) Tomas BERDYCH

WTA:
1) Serena WILLIAMS
2) Simona HALEP
3) Maria SHARAPOVA
4) Petra KVITOVA
5) Agnieska RADWANSKA
6) Caroline WOZNIACKI
7) Ana IVANOVIC
8) Victoria AZARENKA
9) Eugine BOUCHARD
10) Madison KEYS

Aus Open: Wozniacki and Djokovic
French Open: Halep and Nadal
Wimbledon: Kvitova and Djokovic
US Open: Williams and Nishikori

Not sure Tsonga will be up there anymore. He's becoming more and more injury prone too.

Dark horses for me this year are David Goffin and Vasek Pospisil

As for the men now:

Australian Open: Novak Djokovic
French Open: Jo Wilfred Tsonga
Wimbledon: Novak Djokovic
US Open: Novak Djokovic

Stan Wawrinka to make 2 finals and become #2 in the world
Rafael Nadal to finish runner-up in Wimbledon, winning more games, but losing the last set 17-15 and stay 3rd in the world
Kei Nishikori to make all four semi finals
Grigor Dimitrov and Ernests Gulbis to get inside the top 10 with 3 tour wins apiece
Duckworth and Kokkonakis to both enter the top 100
Michael Venus (NZ) to get into the top 200
Hewitt and Federer to retire

Just as last year started to see the emergence of new players in the top 10 on the mens side and making an impact at grand slams, I think the trend will continue this year. 18 of the top 30 players are aged 28 or over. I think Raonic and Dimitrov will make a grand slam final at some point during the year. Djokovic will win 2 slams, possibly 3. Federer won't make a GS final, Nadal to have another injury plagued season, 2 debut semi finalists. Also Nishikori has to be a chance at another GS final.

Women's side is so unpredictable. I would love it if Wozniacki could win a slam, Sharapova will win at least one GS and beat Serena again in a grand slam tournament for the first time in years.

Hewitt's last season on the tour.

Hard to see Djokovic losing No.1 barring major injury, unless something like Federer winning the French Open happens. An uninjured Nishikori possibly his closest challenger.

Dimitrov and Raonic will continue their steady climb up the rankings, expect both to be playing WTF.

Tomic to finish the year just outside the top 20, crawling past his previous ranking peak. Kyrgios will be the next best Aussie in the mid 30s.

Hewitt to retire at Wimbledon or USO (at least from singles anyway), unless Australia is somehow still alive in DC.

Murray's last Slam final will come this year.

Ferrer will continue to do well in the Jan-FO period, but his results between Grass-Nov will continue to decline between now and retirement. RBA, now with Javier Piles as coach to boot, will continue to replicate the career arc of Ferrer, albeit without quite the same heights.

Nadal will never return to the top 2.

2015 will be the last year Federer, Berdych and maybe even Wawrinka finish in the Top 10.

Following Wimbledon, Goffin will briefly enter the Top 10, but ultimately finish the year around the 12-18 mark.

Monfils finished 2008-10 in the no.12-14 mark. I think he'll probably recapture that ranking and have a career best year in 2015. However, that French generation as a whole will start declining, although Chardy will probably maintain a 15-40 ranking over the next couple years. France will be done with DC Finals for a while.

I see a lot of players retiring following the 2016 season, so I expect 2016 to be fairly volatile.

Djokovic to beat Murray in the Aus open final
Nadal to win the french but if he doesn't Djokovic will.
Aus to beat Czech Republic in davis cup
Coric and Kyrgios to cause some surprises in Slams
Hewitt to have one last big upset at one of the slams.(sentimental more than anything)
Dimitrov to do better than Raonic at the slams.
Women's
Stosur first or 2nd round exit in Aus open and finish around 20-30 at the end of the year.
Ivanovic top 5 ranking
Azarenka to return to top 10 after a slow start to the year.
Serena to suffer at least 1 surprise/early loss (i.e like Ivanovic Muguruza, Cornet last year) but too good not to win a grand slam probably win the US open.
various- channel 7 to give players stupid nicknames and find new ways to be innane.

Reasonable predictions I think - but Aus over 2012/13 David Cup winners away? Very, very unlikely.

I can't disagree with too many of those predictions. I especially like the Hewitt prediction.

My year end top 10 predictions are
1. Novak Djokovic
2. Roger Federer
3. Andy Murray
4. Rafael Nadal
5. Kei Nishikori
6. Milos Raonic
7. Tomas Berdych
8. Stanislas Wawrinka
9. Grigor Dimitrov
10. Ernests Gulbis

Australian Open: Djokovic
Roland Garros: Nadal
Wimbledon: Murray
US Open: Nishikori

Gulbis has no chance with that forehand.
His forehands end result is good even though it's ugly. His game is good enough for top 10 if he can have as many good tournaments like Roland Garros last year. For some reason he always plays terrible at the Aussie Open....
