I agree but at 486k the upside is massive.

It is all a risk v reward scenario and i reckon he plays 20+ games.
Judd vs Joey vs Crouch - Same price point. Judd would be my third pick of that lot.

No way, Joey is finished & St's are way crappier than Carlton.

Same price point as all those guys, I'd take A Swallow, who's still in his prime & plays for a good team.

Judd is more capable of a 150 game than any of those and if he plays all season will easily out score them.

It is a big IF though as he needs to stay on the park. He monstered a near full strength Pies team today with multiple opposition players having a go on him and looked as hungry as anything.

I already have A Swallow and he is a massive must have at 500k. :thumbsu:

Collingwood's midfield aside from Pendles (& Sidey who didn't play) is pretty crap though.

I am looking at our first 6 games and i reckon Juddy will monster all of them!

Goldsack had a go at him and is most likely their best stopper but he did not last long on him.

When it comes to SC it's best to take one's Carlton hat off. I always think the same thing when it comes to Murph, always talking myself into believing he will end up a top 8 SC mid no matter the circumstances. I'm going to pass for the 1st time ever this year, not just because of his interrupted pre-season, but because that there are simply better SC options at his price & even a few who's starting prices are less.

GAJ lead the league in SC points when GC were bottom 2.
Pendles second last year playing in a bottom eight side.
Minson top ruckman two years ago in a bottom side
Griffen in top 6 mids a few years ago in a bottom 4 side

Plenty more examples. Don't think side you play for has a major impact on output.

Rockliff last season in a shite Brisbane.

Monty's the same age as Judd. He was terrible last year apart from a few early games.

Not sure about this one. Joey had 3 weeks as recent as last year of 144, 174, 144. He'd be my pick of those 3.

I reckon you're looking through rose tinted glasses. He's one of the best players I've seen over the past 15 years but I feel he's SC days are behind him. You're just as likely to get a 60-70 out of him, or a week off here and there; you don't want that from a 500k mid for mine.

and then averaged 74 from the next 14 games to finish the year.

I can see what you are saying but every player is capable of a 70 every now and then no matter what their value ( Besides Gazza!! ). If Judd remains injury free i cannot see a better 486k player with the upside he has.
