Strong words from Ross this morning re the offensive behaviour directed towards Adam Goodes. Good stuff, calling it for what it is.
I can confirm that Alex Pearce played forward in the match sim. Also worked with the forwards towards the end of the session. Looks like Mzungu gets a game - at last, with Zac C a likely omission. The three youngsters worked with the on ball group at the end. I'm tipping Blakely, Weller or Langdon to get the final spot.;)
As has been said MJ trained with the main group but dropped out at the match sim stage. Appeared to be moving freely and kicking with power.

Heard a rumour down there today too that Lenny Hayes is considering a coaching position under Ross Lyon should Simon Lloyd get a senior role at the end of the year.

There isn't anything that I don't like about that paragraph.

Harry is spot on with his report although D Pearce didn't train at all.Had a hiccup on Wed apparently.Mundy trained well on Wed so don't know what the problem is there.
Alex Pearce spent the whole session forward and spent a lot of time kicking for goals. Johnno and Silvagni started with the main squad and then moved into rehab work.Silvagni was still out on the track a good hour after the rest had finished.Working hard is the lad.The three young uns all trained with the main squad the whole session.Zac D moved well as did Zac C .Hard to work out where Zac C sits in selections this week.Really good sharp ,strong session with good skills.A big improvement on last weeks sessions.Blakely did a lot of work with the mids ,could be his moment in the sun.

Salim and Harry thanks as always. Love your reports

I'm really interested in Pearce forward.

How is his kicking for goal ? Is he a good kick ?

And did he do any 1 on 1

When they do the match simulation drill, it's all about the end to end stuff only. They focus on the stoppages, ball movement, match ups and kick ins.

They don't have shots on goal because it wastes time, so they focus on the goal kicking separately. So when they are having shots at goal, the players all stand on the outside of the 50m arc at the southern end of the ground and then start kicking shot after shot form various angles and distances with the trainers returning the balls back to the players almost as soon as they kick them.

Here then becomes the problem. There is often up to 11 players at once taking a shot on goal. The balls are flying everywhere and from every angle so it is very hard to tell who kicked which goal and from where. You really have to focus on one player and watch their goal kicking like a hawk (If you pardon the pun).

I don't see why they couldn't simply carry out the full match sims which includes having shots at goal under pressure. Perhaps my learned friend Salim Malik could tell us?

It will be exciting to watch if A. Pearce actually does line up at CHF.

Ugh I saw photos from today's training and it's true. Fyfe's hair is in a ponytail! I know he's my buddy so I'm meant to be on his side, but gee I'd like to cut his hair.

It's a worry: Lyon; "how's he going Jason?" Weber; "physically he's OK boss but I'm not sure he's in the right place mentally yet ... suggest we reserve him for the Derby and I'll have time to sort out that hair."
