I'm confused, there was an era after Martin Plaza?
Before Fundamental, Plaza did most of the vocals on the singles but with Greedy's Live it Up being such a hit his songs and vocals took more prominence. (Hence the two eras) I prefer the earlier stuff rather than Greedy's poppy tunes.

A freaking men. "The nips are getting bigger" is one of the great Australian songs of all time. "Too Many Times", the aforementioned "if you leave me".
Went right off them after Live it up (that song just grated on me further convincing me that the great unwashed mainstream always gravitates to the lowest common denominator).

Just tune into Noongar radio. You'll hear plenty, they love them.

Mental actually got some run in the U.S. back in '86. "Live It Up" was a minor hit, making the Billboard Top 30. They can thank Men At Work and INXS for cracking the door ajar for them over here. Actually bought the Mentals' album. No joke: type the word "down" in the search field of the U.S. YouTube site and the first thing that pops up is "down under men at work." As for Mental, I liked "Live It Up" and "Surf & Mull & Sex & Fun."

Really slick session this morning. Blakely Langdon trained with the main squad as did Duff.Pearce started with the WAFL boys to a lot of wtf?Much relief when he rejoined the main squad half way through the session.Ross got the boys together and there was a big cheer and lots of back patting. This happens when there is a newbie getting a spot but we couldn't work out who it was .Blakley was the consensus but who knows.Crosier trained really well as did Langdon.Sonny trained on his own practising set shots.
We asked Silvagni if he was on the plane and he gave us the thumbs up.Asked Zac D how his elbow was and he showed us it was bruise free.Wont say what else he said.

Thanks Salim. Much appreciated :) I reckon it's Blakely getting the nod!

Awesome Salim.

Pleaseeeeeee let it be Blakely. Full game for either Weller or Blakely :-)

Airport tweets have alluded to that all three rucks are travelling, Weller and Clancee pearce at airport as well...they're the only names mentioned so far

Thanks Salim. Out of curiosity, was Dawson's 'word' directed at you or elsewhere (e.g Cameron/MRP etc.)

Nothing more to add than what Salim said, except to say that Ross and Pav weren't in the mood for chatting with the training observers today. I did notice Pav had some strapping on his hand too, however he trained fully and moved really well so no issues there I don't think.

Fyfey had a light run on the track after the boys had all but finished and he looked okay, but certainly didn't do enough to make you think that he is fully fit and ready to play next week, however the signs looked good so I think he'll be back for the derby.

Johnno trained fully today with the main group and his touch was superb. He doesn't need a run with Peel for mine and I believe he will be back for the derby as well. Sonny spent a lot of time alone practising his set shots on goal which had people concerned for most of session as he was not training with the main group.

At the end tough he took a shot from an impossible angle and drilled it directly through the middle. The crowd went ape droppings, as did the players that saw it go through.

Well all heard the cheers as the players were told who was in the side, however we didn't see who the cheers were for as there were no "high-fives" or pats on the back. We knew it had to be either Blakely or Silvagni and now we know that is was the latter.

Michael Apeness came out and watched training for a while, his left leg is in a full brace and it looks like it was a very nasty injury.

Tabs trained with the WAFL boys only and looked a bit dejected for mine.

De Lucca, Crowls and Ballaz were in the gym.

He must've had a setback. I'm sure he wasn't in a brace at Peel a couple of weeks ago. Maybe I'm wrong?

Perhaps it was in a brace for gym work purposes only then. I didn't recognise him at first as he looks different clean shaven, but then Salim had a quick chat with him so then I knew who he was.

"Live It Up" featured in the soundtrack to Crocodile Dundee so was a pretty big hit all over the world. It was in the scene where he's at the party and dumps the guy's whole bag of cocaine into a bowl of water so he can breathe it in.
